Let's see. The Rockets went into the offseason with the MLE, the LLE, a 1st round pick, a lot of expiring contracts, and a lot of momentum from the NBA Playoffs.

Sorry it doesn't support quoting for some reason... but I know what you're saying but after a 40 pt loss saying we have a lot of momentum from the playoffs sounds a bit odd....

I gave a "B" because I love swift but am not at all satisfied with our point guard situation. Over all we have everything you could want in a guard.. outside shooting.. quickness... defense... driving ability... but you are only allowed to play 5 players and we would have to play 5 different guards to get that on the court at one time. I think we desprately needed to get a guy to bring the ball up. Tmac needs to be relieved of that duty yesterday. I like the guys we brought back... and our additions except mighty mouse. I don't know what we're going to do with another undersized guy who can shoot but has lost some of his quickness. If anything we needed to add size but we'll make do. Finley would have been a nice addition as we lack anyone who is proven in big situations (yao and tmac are nice but have yet to win a series and no one else on our roster save mount mutumbo has been a key part of a winning team.) On the positive... we have swift... think Cato with hands... the highlights will no longer include nice passes to our PF who promptly drops the ball or tries to unsucessfully balance it on his foot. That means yao should be able to play 30-35 mins a game hopefully because he won't be responsible for sliding on defense as much. Look for him to average that magical 20-10 or better this year and to take some pressure (and work) off of Tmac's shoulders.

    Mike
