Flip Saunders said his team missed a lot of open shots, but give Houston credit for making that happen, (or pretty clsoe to that).

Those of you who say we never get any respect are guilty of the same thing you are complaining about. How much press do you think is appropriate for a 6th place team?

Yes that was excellent. You knew the ball was going to Oneal and since we hadn't doubled Oneal once out on the perimeter all night, he was completely rattled when Stevie swarmed all around him. I don't know if Francis took that upon himself to do or if Van Gundy told him to ( my guess is the latter) but it was a stroke of genius.

    steve's after game quote:

"Coach told me to double team him (Jermaine O'Neal) no matter what. You could tell he wanted to get it up really bad and we were able to force a bad shot because of that. It was hard for him to see the basket. He was leaning backwards..."

Haven, your signature is really interesting.

You should create a thread about that.

Ask the Knicks. Oh wait, they're in 8th in the East, just got punked by the Rockets twice in a row, and still get 20 times the press of the Rockets. Ask Denver, who's behind the rockets, yet still getting more press. Ask Cleveland. Ask Utah, Ask Seattle. All of those teams are in the national press more than the Rockets.

that said, I'm fine with the team not getting respect- I like it when teams underestimate the Rockets, and it couldn't hurt for this team to play with a chip on its shoulder and blow some people out.

If the leagues were even, I'd agree with you.

But right now, with the Rockets being 6th in their conference... are probably the 7th best team in the entire NBA. Usually, 6th seeds are right over .500. Not this year in the West...
