If we get Bosh and sign Brewer...

    Yao/Hill
    Bosh/Patterson
    Brewer/Budinger
    Kevin Martin/??
    Brooks/Lowry

This combined with the fact that we never got an actual meeting like other teams is just a bad sign. Someone is just trying to use us as leverage now. The Bosh to Houston scenario couldn't look any more dead at this point.

I'm fine with it because Morey must have some other plans.. Or he must have some weird calculation / formula from his Super Think Tank that if Bosh did come here Ariza/Battier would not work.. Trust in Morey guys..

Doesnt make sense...we would already need to have a deal worked out w Scola ....otherwise he could kill the deal by signing elsewhere

I don't believe it. This looks like a lie that was planted by agents/front offices to a journalist to use as leverage for a sign and trade with another team.

I also do not believe this. It does not make any sense. And at least for Amare, it would be downright horrible deal.

I hope this is a false rumor because giving up these three guys is way too much to pay IMO. Scola and Battier represent the heart of this team, and the more I see Bosh parade around as a want to be celebrity, the less impressed I get.

I could trade one of these guys for an upgrade, but I'd have serious doubts about trading both. And I definitely wouldn't give up both defensive wings in Battier and Ariza.

I'd rather go to war as is (plus Miller), hope Yao comes back strong and that either Hill or Patterson emerge as big contributors. We can always use the NY picks to draft another star since it is looking like they might turn out to be very valuable if the Knicks strike out in free agency.

Ditto, its a bunch of B.S. No way Morey gives up his best player outside of Yao in Scola with two elite defenders in a trade for a power forward in Bosh. I could see Scola, Jeffries and some combination of draft picks in getting it done. I still think Bosh goes to Miami in the end.

Hopefully Morey isn't just sitting by the phone waiting on Bosh. There a lot of players out there to be had that can make us a better team.

Calm the f down. The source says "packages," as in multiple potential deals. That doesn't mean that both Ariza and Battier are going to be in the same deal. Think about it. Battier and Ariza alone are 12 million. Scola is sure to be making more than 4 or 5 million, which would be more than the max.

The real problem here is convincing Scola to to to Toronto. I don't see that happening. I think he'd be more open to playing in Phoenix with Nash.

I can see one 1st rounder thrown in there.

If this deal involves taking Turkoglu off their hands (I'm not saying it does, but you can bet Toronto would bring it up, and Turkoglu and Adelman have a good history, even if that history is ANCIENT), then, no....you get cap relief. You get no picks.

Ok, it seems Bosh's not very smart, but let's move on, forget about him and focus on the next alternative. Amare? He's more accesible but I don't know if he makes us better at what we need.

Neither Bosh or Amare are worth that much, I really don't care if they don't come, we have a great lineup, we just need a backup C, which is why Adelman had dinner with Brad Miller. I do have a question though, why is pretty much everyone on this website willing to give up Brooks that quickly, this dude should have been an allstar, he made so many clutch shots and plays for us, and can spread the floor past the 3 pt line for Yao. I love Lowry, but he isn't a starter, especially if Yao is in the starting lineup, we don't have another option.

Maybe Scola would be more willing to accept a S&T if his buddy Battier goes with him to the same team

Either team he goes to..battier will be bought out and return to us for vet min...guaranteed...the others already have SFs and dont need 2 more...Ariza will be the trade bait battier is to make money work.

We give them 3 mil half his sal then they buy him out for 2 or 3 mil discount then he comes back to us for the bi anual exception or vet min or something. Actually ingenius. Then we can still pkg Jefferies and picks for like danny granger or something lol
