This is a bunch of bull.. DM just said they will do anything to keep Scola. All credibility to this was lost the very moment they added Scola.

I love CBud too. but i feel he will work better if he plays behind one of those guys (shane or trevor) for sometime. and it makes sense to have a defense-oriented SF when we have a fragile, backcourt defensive combo.

but yeah. RA and DM know better than what I know. have to trust them

but i cannot stand amare. he is a pseudo-Tmac in terms of attitude.

    for Bosh, I wouldnt mind.

Thats really gonna piss me off if we trade Battier and Scola for f'ing Bosh or Amare. Battier and Scola got more heart than either of those guys.

    Restricted FA

Everybody says they're going to bring back their guys, to tune off other teams for even trying.

I'd do that trade if it were Scola and Battier/Ariza for Bosh, not Amare. Re-sign Lowry, sign Brad Miller with LLE and the roster looks good:

    Brooks/Lowry
    Martin/Taylor
    Ariza/Budinger
    Bosh/Patterson/Hayes
    Yao/ Hill/ Miller

i think you guys are reading too much into this

i think its a package that would be either scola and battier or scola and ariza

if you read what yahoo said
PACKAGES meaning there is more than one sign and trade scenario and in those sign and trade scenarios the 3 names above have been the biggest/most note worthy players

no, but on the raptors forum on RealGM most of them hate the trade. They said they want 1st round draft picks.

There's a question I have that I would like to start a new thread on, but before I do maybe ya'll can answer it adequately for me.

Given the heavy inflation of players' values we've seen the past day, what on God's green earth leads anyone to believe that Scola would just up and accept a sign-and-trade deal like that? Without negotiating with other teams first as to determine his current value and what kind of salary he should be using as a leverage number?

What incentive if any does he have to not drag this thing out as long as possible? He's a restricted FA which means he would have to agree with us if we wanted to send him somewhere, and that somewhere would have to blow him away with a monetary amount that he could be reasonably sure he wouldn't be able to match elsewhere, right?

I mean, that's what these people are implying, right? By saying that we're including him on our SnT offers with Phoenix and Toronto? Am I the only one who thinks it's completely nonsensical? Will I ever write another sentence that doesn't end in a question mark?

If I was Toronto, I wouldn't take troubled Beasley and Chalmers for Bosh. I think Toronto doesn't need a PG they already have Calderon and Jack so they wouldn't need AB. The best trade would be Bosh for Scola, Battier or Martin and 2 draft picks from NY. We must keep Ariza and AB.

Colangelo and the Raptors must be salivating with our offer.

I think the package so far is just for salary match. Pick(s) is a must in the trade I guess.

WTH. This is badly written. For one thing, Scola is a Restricted FA, so as long as Rockets match the highest outside offer, Scola belongs to the Rockets, so we don't need Scola to agree to anything.
