People say Ariza rode the coattails of a great team, but not even after 1 year people want to lay him as a bust. Even though we haven't seen him play with Yao. Even though we saw how much he improved after Kev-Mart came aboard

If CP3 and D-Will don't win any championships in their careers than I would say Derick fisher had a better career right?

Will Fisher get into the HOF? I think so.

This is your opinion. It isn't backed up by the stats at all.

And I'm sick of the "Ariza was asked to be the star" excuse. He wasn't asked to take poor shots when Brooks was wide open or jack 3 pointers with 16 seconds on the shot clock or to throw tantrums when he didn't get the ball or to make horrible gambles for steals. It's a lot more than his FG% (horrible by anyone's standards).

I'll give the guy a clean slate for this season but there's no way you're going to tell me he is better than Barnes when the stats and actually watching the two play doesn't back that up.

You take being a complete tool to a level previously unattained by human endeavor.

Well I guess Robert Horry is just a coattail rider.

even with Ariza's poor shooting he's shooting almost the exact same for his career from the field and 3...

seriously when Ariza is the 5th best offensive option on the floor his shooting will improve, and he's certainly a better defender than Barnes @ 24.

Why would I ever delete the truth?

And smart people do change their minds, you know why? No, of course you don't....

Because situations change, but I don't expect a guy that is a letter or two short of spelling IQ to be able to understand it.

Now, get back in the box...GIMP !!!

IMO age is Trevor's only advantage. I prefer Barnes' defense as it's more physical, more disciplined and more focused. Barnes is like a cross between Battier and Ariza to me. Not as smart or disciplined as Shane but with more physical tools and not as physically gifted as Trevor but smarter and more disciplined.

I do suspect Trevor's numbers will get better this season but the "he hasn't played with Yao" excuse doesn't fly here. If the guy has to play with Yao to shoot 40% from the field then he should be making half of what he does. I thought this team was going away from one-dimensional, pure role players who need a superstar to look competent on offense?

You've said this 100 time Dave. Did you see any games after we got Kevin Martin? The year long stats suck because Ariza was out of position. Why can't you get over that? Do you hate Venezuelans that much?

Seriously Reeko has a history of spouting off garbage, but he's Shakespearean compared to the tripe signed by "DD".

Career numbers are not as relevant as what the guy has done recently (as in the last entire season).

    Thank you....I guess?

I won't argue with DD because when he loses he just starts calling people names.

Why is it an advantage, if you can't dribble a basketball after 5 years in the NBA, when will you suddenly be able to do that?

Trevor is a role player, period, it is all he will ever be, in the right situation he is ok, is he overpaid.

    Hell yes he is !

And if the Rox can jettison him and keep Shane and CBud, the team will not miss a beat.

End of story, that is all she wrote, put the women and children to bed.

    PERIOD !

I don't expect everyone to understand, when you are trying to explain the universe to ants, they just aren't going to get it.

Now get back to digging....ANT !

    Sorry, I meant PISSANT !

Horry was a clutch player, certainly, but nowhere near a Hall of Famer. And I love the guy. But there are definitely a handful of power forwards that would've won rings alongside Hakeem, Shaq/Kobe, Tim, etc.

    IN MOREY WE TRUST!!!

..except after 1 year of Ariza

    FAIL!!!111

lol @ Barnes being better than Ariza

Barnes stats are inflated on a run and gun GSW team, and his stats are inflated on a stacked Magic team.

Go back to when Morey signed Ariza. Even Morey said they were gonna give Ariza free reign last season so he could grow into the role.

He needs to focus on taking away the basketball because for a "defender" he just never seems to get the rock away from his man.

    Trevor owns.

    UHMMMMM.....

paulcoro Stoudemire declined Suns' 5-yr, $96M offer w/minutes played stipulations. Suns agree to 4-yr, $16M deal ($18M w/bonuses) w/Hakim Warrick
