So the Rockets are pursuing Barry and Horry while needing to sign Landry and the two rookies they drafted. Somebody has to go, who is it?

Great post (you beat me to it). This is exactly where we are lacking as a team. I have faith in Morey to get us a guy that scores the ball. If we get Barry and 'that guy' it would be a beautiful thing. I really don't care at what position either. Some may say we NEED him at SG but I will take him at backup PG, SF, or C. Put him in with a 2nd group of Barry, Deke, Landry or Dorsey, and T-mac and let'em go. I don't care if his D is weak either, we NEED points! We have good D to start and finish games, it's the 'in between' stuff that is killing us as a team.

I'm guessing Chuck Hayes, Luther Head, and Bjax in a deal. While they cut Mike Harris to make room for our new rookies. Im guessing we keep Landry, if we do not we need to be shot.

    Why Horry?
We have Landry, Hayes, Scola, Dorsey, Mutombo, Yao, Novak for the 4 and 5 rotation.

I'm not saying they should pursue him but if they are and they get him then who gets dismissed?

horry has played in twice as many playoff games than the rest of our 4/5 rotation combined.

its about experience, knowledge Horry has them aplenty he knows how/when he can help his team and wont to anything to hurt the team. When was the last time you saw Horry do something out of character for him?

Uhhh I wouldn't say that... Sign him, after he checks out, for something reasonable, if not, use him in a deal to get us that legit third scorer. I would trade him straight up for C Villanueva.

this year, he normally makes it to the NBA finals, this year it was only the Western Conference finals, where he was injured and could not play.

    Yoyo,
do you realize only a small portion of Clutchfans is as knowledgeable as you?
    you take stuff for granted.
like knowing how Horry was key in closing out New Orleans.
    like knowing experience does matter.
like knowing he didn't play much against the Lakers because of injury.

Don't know about Horry. But Barry is definitely good if we can get him with the vet min.

    yeah, i agree ;]

As I wrote before, Landry has already shown he can play. We can be only concern about his health but I belive he will be fine. He is a needed player on this team.

Dorsey is good but you never know. He can play well but he can suck as well....

Exactly. That's the ONLY reason he would say something like that publicly. Morey doesn't usually announce the behind-the-scenes stuff regarding contracts. He did it this time for a reason.

I guess, but it is my opinion. My prediction is that after All Star break, Dorsery will bw getting more minutes than Landry.

I am all for BB signing for the same reasons as wanting him last season. It will cost more $$ this time I think but he is solid in many areas. Horry had a rough year, and appears to be on decline. He is better than Woods - yes, and possibly cheaper.

Morey definitely has his sites set on some trades, and so I am for siging these two and trading to upgrade whever we can - hopefully for that solid third scorer we need to compete.
