While it is true that the Knicks are saying that they intend to match the contract, it is also true that Lin may still get better contracts from other teams that may scare the Knicks away. I can see Toronto or Cuban signing Lin for a huge amount and test New York's faith that Lin will be worth the tax money.
All that says is that the Knicks have said they will match. Which is the "PR" way to do it. GMs always say stuff like that. Easy to say, harder to pay. Besides, I didnt think he had signed with us yet. This is just our offer.
The very fact that Lin hasn't signed the offer sheet should be indicative of his desire to play for Houston. At least we still have Lowry.
You have to be kidding me.... we can't even get LIN. Oh man we suck. No one wants to play here and we don't want them to. This team is tanking.
Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA Jeremy Lin and the Rockets still discussing parameters of an offer sheet, league sources tell Y! Sports.
But you can announce your intention to sign much like Dragic did with the Suns. Let's not kid ourselves. Lin is not coming over here.
But who would want to play for houston when you know that you could be traded in a heartbeat? There has to be some sort of stability.
