That is true. That is not part of the discussion. The ability to stay healthy might be though. I dont think he is coming or he would have not left without some form of verbal agreement. May be wrong. Not sure on Asik anymore either if he comes. Morey might go 0 for the century.

Pretty please, with sugar on top, DO NOT WASTE CASH ON JEREMY LIN...

(Unless you have a Dwight deal lined up)

that explains the poison pill contract.

I mean when skip to my lou was playing he had a better year for year rate than what they offered lin.

Dragic had no surgery and is left handed - and a much better passer.

Of course Lin will put fans in the seats - giving a life line to Morey as he stumbles along.

No, I think July 11 is the match deadline, not for the signing day.

Mavs said to be interested in Lin-- remember he gotten attention playing vs Wall for Mavs summer league team. Maybe he is waiting to hear their offer?

No it's the end of the moratorium and the 1st day a player can sign a new contract. The other team then has 3 days to match which would be on the 14th.

Lin offer a favor after Nash; guarantees Knixies pay him splendidly for the cash value he brings. Felton may do as much for NYK on court, but - - Linsanity rules!

He's going back to the Knicks...they matched the rockets deal.

    Lin will be in NY.

Very likely, and I was thinking about the same thing. IMO Lin is simply better than Dragic who has peaked, and I'm sure Mavs/Raptors will try hard to offer more.

I like Dragic too. I don't understand how those contract negotiations fell apart.

That said I think Lin has a better defensive game and he seems to have a much better ability to get to the line. I think the contract Lin is being offered is full price, but I don't think he is a scrub at all.

Lin is a mistake. Big risk. His play once the league adjusted to him wasn't as great. And he excels only in a certain type of offense. Definitely not the one McHale runs.

Lin needs to be surrounded by finishers and very accurate jump shooters. And I am not so sure he can be effective against a Wade, Deron, Westbrook, or other stronger pg's who can physically dominate and intimidate him.

He'll be playing nearly the same role in Houston without another player on the team taking 20-30 shots per game. IF he somehow gets signed here of course.

Similar excuses can be said about Dragic or Lowry. No excuses and give credit to where credit is due please.

And Asik will be in Chicago and Morey will be in the corner hovering over his blueberry pie mumbling that "I tried, I really tried"

Meanwhile fans will be saying - hey, it is ok, the guy really tried, never mind that what he tried to do had very little chance of actually succeeding, and as such was doomed to fail at the jump.

    But, hey, he tried, right?

No, that is just not right - Morey has got to get it done, there is no try, only do - we need to send Morey to Yoda - that little muppet will sort his ISH out.
