Gotcha, in that case I would prefer:

    B-Jac
    Barry
    T-Mac
    Battier
    Yao

I love Novak, but B-Jac has had a reputation of being a scorer and 3-pt shooter, even if he has had a down year to this point.

The suns are probably the best fit for his type of game.

Man, I love the push to get him. I really hope he isn't just waiting for the spurs to get him back in 30 days.

It surprises me the team would offer Barry a 2 year deal, but I'm happy they're going after him. It's a long shot he'll sign with the Rockets though.

what game is that, camping out at the 3 point line and draining them?

    yeah, you're right...we don't need that.

    Bones won the dunk contest!!

But seriously, his game is not camping out at the 3 point line.

I think Jon will convince Brent to sign with the Rockets. Jon still loves this team as he always gives us props during his commentating.

I just hope he's healthy. If Brent is healthy and we can get him, it's a real coup. No doubt about it. You might be right about Jon giving us a hand. I hope so!

Kind of outdated, Rafer isn't dumb and doesnt ignore the shot clock.

My guess about the 2-yr contract is maybe Morey wants to create another expiring for next year. Judging by how thorough he is with his research/analysis, there must be a specific player or two he is targetting in a trade come next season...

Look at the dates: 2004-2008. Wasn't that way before Rafer's time as Rocket? I believe the shot-clock ignorer (ans Super Bowl Watcher) was Steve Francis.

I think this is all posturing by Barry's agent to avoid getting harassed by the league---why wouldn't he return to the Spurs?---but we can hope. Morey has proven himself a very capable GM.

I want this to happen. I want it to happen bad. My reasons:

Can you imagine if we beat the Spurs in the playoffs and both Brent Barry and Luis Scola play well for us? It'd be like they gave us the gun that killed them. :D

Spurs management would feel stupid. Spurs fans would cry. I would be ecstatic.

Barry's agent would be more than aware of that so they may have to promise they won't deal him like meat. The MLE can be used next season to create an expiring contract with someone.

That's 1 for the Rockets. I remember 4 years ago he asked Chris Mullins what was most important towards the end of your career. And Chris said forget about the money it's about winning. When your career is over it's the winning they will remember. It's why he chose San Antonio over Houston. Well now the tides have turned. The Rockets give him as good a chance to do that as anyone to accomplish that. If the Spurs win tonight and the Rockets win tomorrow will we be 2 games back in our division. @ games back for the hottest team in the league who just blew out the best in the west at the time. After Barry talks to Morey and Les I think he will be saying where do I sign.
