did anyone else hear jon barry basically petition brent to join the rockets a little while ago? he said "just imagine how much better they'd be [the rockets] with another bonafide shooter..." hopefully brent was listening.
Is there any possible way for us fans to have some influence on Barry's decision? We must find a way because I want Brent as the final piece to our hopefully amazing run this coming season. Barry has to choose the Rockets. Please Brent
Do we still want Brent Barry? Do we still want Brent Barry? I've seen this guy play since he won the NBA slam dunk contest. But with the pieces we have now, are we going to alienate any of our guards by taking away their playing time?
I think the more shooters we have the better especially with a low post presence in Yao and dominating player like T-Mac. We're gonna need players to spread the floor when those guys are being double and triple teamed.
Are you kidding? Hell yes! Want a 6' 7" guard who can make an entry pass to Yao? Barry. Want a playoff tested vet who is money from downtown? Barry. Want a tall guard who can play some point if needed? Barry. HELL YES!
He's a hardened playoff veteran and a pimp in general. Luther has been playing good recently (by not making dumb passes or dribbling away the ball) but I would rather have Barry in that three point shooting role. Did I mention he was 6'7"? He could make some easy passes to Yao
He's good for team chemistry and provides Vet leadership. He would take Head's minutes like BJ has taken Brooks' minutes. I think that's a good thing for the playoffs.
I'm thinking Barry would be taking Luther's time. And while I don't really have anything against Luther, you gotta believe that's an upgrade.
Of course we want him. Let us not be fooled by this ONE GAME. We're not gonna be able to shoot 50% from the 3 point line in many games, if any. This guy would be a HUGE boost.
If Mac gets into a injury or something.. Were going to need Barry.. otherwise we might have to use Gerald Green? I dunno.
If the GM and Coach both went to his house to meet him, you know for sure we need him. At least we can get him and put him in the fridge so he won't hurt us in the playoff.
We need veterans and winners. Till now the only winners are Scola (Olympic game Gold medal, FIBA Championship) and Bobby Jax (West Conference Final). All the others including Yao and TMAC are losers. We need another winner to help the team win big game.
