thats a pretty good mood...so far I like what I see...got rid of Howard for James..got a 2nd round pick for cash....I hope there is more good stuff where this came from...keep it up morey
They finally got word that Fran Vasquez is finally coming over from Spain, so its probably more roster space issue than money. I'm sure your just kidding but I'm guessing that's weighing on their decision. I'm guessing this will produce another euro player who won't play here this season. Which is fine, the Israeli guy looks like he could evenutally become a rotation player.
This maybe means that the Rockets might pursue drafting Sun Yue. He's projected to go at #55 on NBA Draft. If he's still available at 54, the Rockets could pick him to team up with Yao Ming.
Notable picks in the 45-60 range from the 2nd Round in the last 10 years: 1996 NBA Draft Shandon Anderson (#54) 1997 NBA Draft Mark Blount (#55) Predrag Drobnjak (#49) Alvin Williams (#48) 1998 NBA Draft Ryan Bowen (#55) Torraye Braggs (#57) Greg Buckner (#53) 1999 NBA Draft Emanuel "Manu" GinĂ³bili (#57) 2000 NBA Draft Jason Hart (#49) 2001 NBA Draft Jarron Collins (#53) 2002 NBA Draft Rasual Butler (#52) 2003 NBA Draft Kyle Korver (#51) James Jones (#49) 2004 NBA Draft Vasileios Spanoulis (#50) 2005 NBA Draft Orien Greene (#53) Ryan Gomes (#50) 2006 NBA Draft Paul Millsap (#47) Dee Brown (#46)
hahah exactly what i was thinking.. they said he hasnt been developing well overseas.. any chance he's gonna ever play for us?
can you say TRADE BAIT? Now a package for #26, #54, and Sura's contract or maybe even Rafer could get us a top 15 pick or maybe even higher!
I agree. This pick will be another Badinae, V-Span, Eliyahu etc. If it hits, great. If it misses, then big deal. I didn't cost much.
Actually Fazekas is not that much like Novak at all. Just because they are both white and have an outside shot. Fazekas is 6'11" 235 - 240 lbs a true PF with a back to the basket game and over 11 rebounds a game and 2 blocks a game. Novak does not have a frame that big and is basically a shooter and nothing else. Novak has never been the kind of rebounder, shot blocker that Fazekas has been his whole career and Novak does not have a back to the basket game.
Looks like we're trying to improve, which is a good thing...let's see what we do with it...I still think PG is our biggest need and we have a backlog of scrubs right now...
I would like to see the Rockets develop Eliyahu but if he can be added as well to move up in the 1st round I would be pleased. The #54 could end up being an international player or a NBDL player.Rafer or Sura's contract probably won't help us move up but nobody knows what might happen.
