54 is too low, unless Lasme, Davis, or Fazekas slid down.

I wouldn't take Fazekas in the first round- he is too much like Novak. (unless they see Novak as a bust)

Bobby Brown is interesting. He would be worth #54

I agree. It's been said that he had a great workout for the Rockets.

Like I said earlier, who says we take anyone at #54? We got into the 2nd round at #54. We could take someone there. But we could just as easily MOVE UP into the 2nd round using that pick and a future pick.

In fact, we probably wanted to get Orlando's #44 pick. Remember Morey saying something about talent in the 40-45 range? We probably wanted that #44 pick but Orlando balked. So we made the move for their #54. BUT if things break right maybe we switch picks with Orlando. Or we move up even more.

Not saying it is going to happen. But there is a chance. Just having a 2nd round pick gets us a foot in the door.

Hopefully not another European. CD's European projects fetish should be ended with his retirement.

I think they'll go with a college slider like Dominic McGuire or Quinton Hosley. Actually those are guys I would take with an early 2nd round pick if I could.

Hopefully they stay away from Glen Davis, he'll be out of this league in 2 years.

Is it possible Reyshawn Terry could fall to us?

Unless we're using 54 and 26 to move up. 54 is useless. It is very difficult to find someone a player who will contribute significantly to the rotation.

Rafer, Luther, Sura contract, #26 and #54 for any significant power forward and backup point guard or #26 and #54 to move into early teens to select an impact player.

My first sticky! I don't know what to say, other than I'd like to thank the academy and the little people who made this possible.

Didn't they give us a pick last year too? We must have good connections.

I was thinking the same thing. Nice athlete, played both guard spots in college. Could benefit from a year of not doing much to develop a more consistant jumper.

Anyone consider that we got this draft pick because we now have a deal in place for the 26? Not to move up but for a PF or a player... we got the 54th so we can still select someone in the draft, its a possibility.

We can trade 26 and 54 for an 18th pick:

    1/26 + 1/54 = 1/18

Carl Landry, Demitris Nichols, Dominic McGuire, Aarron Brooks, DJ Strawberry and Herbert Hill could all potentially be available at #54.

We are either packaging 26 and 54 for a player/pick or we have our eyes set on Dominic McGuire or Carl Landry, both 4's, with the 54th. DJ Strawberry is also an option here since all three were the last three they worked out.
