The Rockets signed someone that i didn't know about??
I thought it was Andersen. Oh well.

Anyway if we are talking about Andersen then idk why. Its not like he'll be the 1st option. With the guys on this team he is at least best suited for the 4th option or 5th.

Pretty sure he signed for something like $2million with Phoenix - player option on the 2nd year?

Personally I'll take Andersen over Frye. I don't think Frye has anywhere near as much desire.

I rather have Frye, if they are the same price. :(

Frye has more experience though. He would be great in RA's offense too, based on his ability to make the outside jumper.

I'm hoping David surprises us all in his first year, much like Luis did. That might be too high of an expectation on my part.

Yeah, Frye was sick last night in that outdoor game against Golden State. IIRC, he hit threes on each of the Suns first two possessions, and he ended up with 19 points, 8 boards, and a block. Impressive considering he only played 23 minutes, and only attempted 13 field goals.

Exactly. He loves shooting from behind the arc above the freethrow line. I wonder if Morey ever considered signing him when Yao was healthy.

He would be like a poor man's Sam Perkins for us when Yao is doubled. That three-point shot with big men can be very handy for teams with dominant centers.

    Guess we'll never know...

So 19 pts (7-13), 8 rebs, and 1 blk against the worst defensive team in the league is >>>>>>>>>>>> 12 pts (5-9), 7 rebs, and 1 blk against one of the best defensive teams in the league? Frye may have done it in 5 less minutes, but he also had one more foul and one more TO than Andersen. It doesn't really seem that much more impressive to me.

Hell naw!!! 19>>>12 8>>>7, so Frye >>><><>>>> Anderson. Also Frye iz younger so he >>> Anderson. There iz a reason why Frye is da Lotto pick and Anderson is da 2nd rounder.
What you mean good defense... smart basketball fans kno defence mean **** cuz defenders like Hayes and Battier mean ****.

Only Gundy fans and Moneyball stupids love defense and Andersen and fail to see the importance of da lotto pick talents.

Well its not like KG and co. played a lot so lets not get carried away. I consider each opponent in the preseason essentially as equal since they play scrubs who wouldn't see any PT in a real game. Seen in this context Frye had the better performance, and you can't deny he is younger, more athletically gifted and has the better skillset than Andersen.

With that said Andersen is still the better deal. Frye seems to be a coaster, one game he'll put up great numbers but the next he'll fade. Andersen has been a winner throughout his career, like Scola he's hungry for some NBA action and like Battier he has the magical intangible add-ins. Landry is essentially an intense Frye anyway so we basically have no need for him.

I was referring to the game against Orlando, and their starters (other than Howard) and key role players played a good number of minutes.

Except Battier hasn't been a winner his whole career....quite the contrary actually.

Then whyd you say one of the best defensive teams in the league? Howard is a monster on D but I doubt Rashard Lewis, Carter, Jameer and scrubs count as a defensive players.
