Although this is a premeire job, the Rockets need to stop acting like its the only job. As intriguing as the Rockets job is, Philly and La is pretty attractive also. A team like NO that has made the playoffs have a nice combination of youth and veterans. Toronto is a pretty good gig also if Carter comes bck to strength. When the job opened, the Rockets should have interviewed the hot assistants, to the former coaches. By now, the Rockets should have offered someone something in terms of who they really wanted instead of jerking around.

I know this qualifies as sacrilige on this web site, but personally I would take Jerry Sloan over Rudy T and I consider Rudy T to be one of the top coaches in the league.

I agreee. This is a what have you done lately league (well unless you alianate the entire franchise, read Carlisle. Or the owners have their heads fully buried in their rectum, read Silas.) The last four years have really hurt Rudy's stock. Last season was a disaster for him in this regard.

Ha, ha!! That's Crazydavola in a nut shell. The guy changes his opinions like the leaves in fall just to support his arguments.

That is interesting. You would take a coach that has never won a ring, despite coaching 2 HOFers, over a coach that won two rings with 2 HOFers (one right with 1 HOFer).

So sad that you post inaccuracies about my opinions because I called you out for acting like a 9 year old.

So you would take a coach that has won zero rings (with two HOFers) over one that has won 2 because one's offensive system is better than the other???

Nelson's offensive systems are better than Rudy's. I guess you would take him 1st also?

Odd reasoning from you, yet not entirely suprising.

That's easy enough to respond to. Sloan had to face the Bulls twice. Houston didn't. If Sloan's 97' and 98' teams played in 94' and 95' I think the Jazz might very well have won two championships.

I would never take Don Nelson because his teams have never played an ounce of defnese. I think all NBA champions have two things in common: (1) A killer instinct/survivor mentality, and (2) the ability to play great defense.

By the way Davola, you write your posts as if your sitting on a throne above the rest of the BBS. Most of your posts are pretty pathetic to writing them from such a high perch. Go back and read the crap you post on these boards. You change your opinions and points of views from one page to the next. You are the last person in the world that should be making judgements about other people.

Check - Both of our championship teams had a killer instinct/survivor mentality (remember choke city/clutch city).

Check - In 1993/1994 we were a top 3 defensive team. In 1994/1995 we were a top 5 defensive team.

Sounds like Rudy T is the type of coach you are looking for.

Why are you taking things so personal? I give my opinions and try to back them up with stats and analysis.

Please provide examples of where I have changed my viewpoints (I suspect you are making this up for some reason).

Seems other people have made the same judgements about you. Why are you singling me out??

I agree. A match up between the late 90's Jazz teams and the second Rockets' championship teams would be pretty damn even.........which pretty much makes my point about Sloan.

Like I told someone else on this board, I'm new to the board and am having a hard time not reacting to some of the idiotic comments some of you make. Over time I'll get used to your stupidity and will grow hardened to it. I'm all ready working on it. I hope by the end of the day that I never engage in a discussion with you again.

And MF, you singled me out in the first place, but I came back at you like a predator and you shook. Don't switch things around now that it suits your argument.

Pretty darn even? Is that what you call winning 2 championships to winning 0 zero championships? I that what you call a coach with a .567 playoff win% to a coach with a .494 playoff win%??

Your point may need some sharpening.

    lmao

You are the predator and I am the hunted eh? Grrrrrrr. You go tiger. Grrrrrr.

    lmao

(BTW, you keep saying I have switched arguements when I have not (I have asked you for proof of where I have done this yet you mysteriously respond with profanity instead)).

    You need a timeout.
