Again, that's based on YOUR option of who would be the "contender". And you should know damn well that you have lost all your cridibilities to predict anything after those Yao comments.

Funny how a thread like this pops up after a LOSS.

The regular season is all about positioning. The playoffs is where you see what the team really is. It's impossible to tell if this team is for real right now because they aren't playoff tested. They may look good and poised for a playoff run, but there's no way of knowing since we have not seen this team on the big stage yet.

Good to see you can admit you were wrong, even when so embarrassingly wrong, like driving 180mph in to a brick wall without a seat belt and wearing nothing but a speedo but-I-should-be-just-fine wrong.

You kind of remind me of pgabriel. It hurts you to see Houston fans get too happy for any reason. Forgive people for getting a little drunk after a 4-0 West Coast swing. It's been a while around here.

What's wrong with you? This has to do with the whole Houston has fair weather fans thing right? Still pissed huh?

I can't stand bandwagonners like you...you remind me of Yankee fans.

I'm sorry, I have stay with my beloving Rockets through 5 years of losing and wining. Who are you to say I am a bandwagonner?

Unlike someone, at least I did not give up on Yao when he was having bad games.

What's funny how hard even you try to catch me as being wrong, like it means so much to you...I really hit a nerve a few years ago didn't I? One that still leaves an imprint.

After 24 years of being a Rockets fan, i feel perfectly comfortable calling you a bandwagoner.

Um, I don't even remember who you are. You struck a nerve 5 minutes ago when you posted this thread twice and Legend quoted you and you acted like it didn't exist. The rest is called search, which has a way of exposing people when they say "never said that".

Those damn Rocket fans and their ridiculous claims of All-Star games and 13 point-8 rebound seasons for Yao. Damn them all to hell.

You drove it hard, but you crashed and burned.

So this is an age thing now? I have only moved to Houston and get the chance to watch the Rockets regurlarly for 5 years, does that make me any lesser fan than you? I don't think so.

And after 24 years, you still don't have the fate to believe this special team is a contender? Have the 2 Clutch City taught you anything?

I never said Yao would be a bust. You keep making that claim.

He still might end up a bust. If Yao goes down with a serious knee injury - he will be remembered as a Bust. Ralph Sampson made it to the all-star game a few times...but today people call him a bust. That's the facts. That's all i ever stated.

Anyway, Houston does need a real power forward to win a title in my opinion. Someone who can get 13 pts and 8 rebounds a game....

Yep it seem like everyone goes COCO... there is so much upside to this team right now, that bickering over a loss which wont play a huge part in what the outcome of the season will be for us, is frankly Meaningless. .. losing to the Celtics dosent automaticly make us a NON-CONTENDER or conversly a win was'nt go prove we were a contender.

By your logic, Wade could be a bust, Lebron could be a bust, Amare could be a bust?

BTW, nobody calls Ralph Sampson a bust. He went down because of injury, it was not his fault. Bust is the word for those who have the ablity to be good, or even great, but they simply doesn't want to be.

That was a completely different team. That team had heart.

This team hasn't proven that yet. Yao had 6 rebounds tonight, that's just awful for someone who is supposed to be a superstar and carrying his team. he's got the commercials, the spotlight, and accepts it all. There's no excuse for him to go out there and have 6 rebounds to show for his effort. No excuse.
