I agree with RollingWave - we have some tough games spread out, but we honestly don't have a really tough stretch of games until the end of February/beginning of March.

4-1 is too optimistic for this squad, 3-2 is much more likely.

Minny: motion heavy offense with a smooth shooting PF having an MVP-caliber season, what can go wrong?
Memphis: still trying to find themselves but they will be well-rested and won't have to face TT.
ATL: I like our chances but Teague is criminally underrated
    BKN: Shouldn't be a problem

Some defense down the stretch would be nice too ...

On pace for a 50 win season and we will improve. So, with an expected upward curve, I'd say 54-28. Much better than 42-40 with no room to improve!

Lead the league in scoring and all the media can talk about is Dwight needing to improve his offense.

This. If they can muster even average defense (which I believe is totally possible with the players we have) we win probably 3 of those 4 losses.

Don't make excuses. Their defense is lamentable. 12 games is enough to know. Starter experience is irrelevant. I'm glad for the high-powered offense, but the team is nothing without a credible defense. We're like the Nash-led Phoenix Suns and we know how that turned out -- some good teams that never won anything.

If the pieces aren't fitting, who's responsible for that?

That depends on your definition of meaningful. Is it as good as other stats? No. Does it get you in the ballpark? Yes.

The most meaningful stats for the offense are these:
29th in 4th qtr. net rating, outscored by 10.1 points per 100 possessions.
29th in 4th qtr. % of points scored off assists.

Not surprising. I was expecting after the Celtics game for their offensive numbers to look ridiculous.

Now.... about that defense & points off of turnovers...... hmmm

    Wow.....did I stumble on whine fans.net?
We are 8-5 which is surprising considering all we have had to face as a team
I won't whine, I will judge this team by the all star break.
