    THIS IS FREAKIN AWESOME!!!! THE OLD INTRO USED TO MAKE MY SKIN CRAWL AND GET SO PUMPED UP!!! A GREAT WAY TO START THE SEASON OUT...THE WHOLE POINT OF THE INTRO IS TO GET THE CROWD INTO IT...THE WHO AND THE STUPID DRUMS HAVE NEVER COME CLOSE TO GETTING THE CROWD EVEN REMOTELY INTO IT...YOU WILL SEE THE ENTIRE ARENA JUMPING WHEN THEY BLAST THE OLD SCHOOL STUFF OUT...I GUARANTEE IT!!

    you guys are trying to figure out the music.....my guess is what he is referring to is bringing back the "ALRIGHT HOUSTON......ON...YOUR....FEET! AND PREPARE FOR A ROCKETS LIFTOFF!!!"

    that would be my guess....and would be pretty sweet

    i for one am excited to bring this intro back, i too associate this with our era of winning, just like when i hear the chicago bulls theme i can picture MJ and pip and the laser show

    i've also always wanted them to bring back the power dancers intro they did the last seasons at compaq center, where they had those red-airport-traffic lights... i always thought it was cool and been hoping they bring it back, anybody else feel me on this one??

    As silly as it may sound, I'm seriously considering buying a ticket for the opener now. I was considering, but the intro music has maybe, just maybe, put me over the top.

    I hope this is just for opening night. If it's a permanent change then this sucks.

    Last year's intro with the Who song was absolutely perfect. Best intro i've seen in a long long time. If they get rid of it i'm gonna be pissed.

    God I just got goosebumps just like the first time i got to see the starting lineup. HAAKKKKKKKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEJJJWWWWOOOOOOONNNNNNNNN!!!!!

    They used this opening for the preseason, so that would lead me to believe it'll be like that for the entire season.

    I associate that song to the playoffs, when KRBE would constantly air the theme mixed in with radio highlights by Gene, Calvin, and Bill.

    After each game, they would udpate the song with new highlights. That's a way to keep a city pumping during the playoffs/finals.
