i sent in a suggestion to rockets.com and i received this reply. March 19, 2003 Re: Fans Opinions on Houston Rockets Uniforms Dear Chris: We asked for Rockets fans to share their opinions on the team uniforms and you delivered! The THOUSANDS of responses we received show us just how much you care about the Houston Rockets. THANK YOU! We also learned that everyone wants the Rockets not just to be champions, but to look like champions. Fans told us what they liked and didn't like about the Rockets' uniforms, including the colors, the logo, and those controversial pinstripes. This was exactly the kind of information we were looking for. If you've read some of the comments on our Web site (www.Rockets.com), you know how strongly people feel about this. Well, by polling our loyal supporters, we tried to be sure the new look would please as many people as possible. A few people went even further and submitted proposed drawings for the new uniforms. Unfortunately, while we appreciate the time and effort some of you may have put into these designs, our lawyers would not allow us (or anyone else within the company) to look at them. Because we were unable to use, or even review, your proposed drawings, we wanted to be sure that they were returned to you. As a result, if you sent a drawing, design, or other material, we kept your materials for you and are returning them now with this letter or attaching them to this email. To the extent you submitted your proposal by email, you can rest assured that we have deleted your drawing from our system and that we have not shared it with anyone within the Houston Rockets organization. The whole team is grateful for your on-going support. Watch for the new uniforms to be unveiled in the near future. We hope you'll be as excited about them as we are.
