You know what? It's not possible to create a cool looking uni with the Nike designer. I take back what I said Miguel. My design sux too.
Dude, I feel sorry for all the abuse you are getting, but... your design is just way too... they remind me of the people in disneyland. BTW, no one seemed to notice the Clippers pictures I posted on page 3.
LOL Yeah, I know, I was just trying to work with the colors and so on I had. I like my 1st and 2nd one. With that color scheme though, I don't think a black jersey would work. We could always have a yellow alternate jersey...
Heh, it's no problem, people always like to pick on the new guy, but I'll admit....well, just look above.
Wait...What?...We're getting new jerseys!?!? What Do they look like!?!? ...oh nevermind, I'm sorry...I'll start a new thread
Now its time to stir things up a bit. The Rockets have dropped us fans a little clue as to what I our new identity will be, more specifically. I brought this up in another thread but I thought you guys should take a close look at this too. It looks like the seats at the new arena are going to be black or have a black frame with a different color cushion. I could be blind and it could be Dark Blue but those frames in the pic below look black to me. The base setting of the seat is normally the same color of the entire frame of the seat. Take a look at the seats at MMP and you will see what I mean. In some cases the seat cushions can be a different color. The Blazers and have a Black frame and a Dark red cushions. The reason why I bring this up is most teams match their team colors to the seats of their buildings. The Lakers have Purple Seats at Staples, The Nuggets have Maroon at Pepsi, the Warriors have dark blue at A-OK, Cavs have blue at gund, Rox have blue at tha Laptop......................Now I know that some teams arena's don’t even match their teams colors i.e. Knicks, Pacers, Magic, Raptors, Sixers, Celts.........But keep in mind they are multipurpose venues who support more than one franchise (specifically NBA, NHL) and whose color schemes were so different they couldnt address all of the colors in the seats of the arena because it wouldn’t look good. The Rockets don’t have to worry about this problem because they don’t have an NHL team to share the arena with whose colors are like say.....the Philly Flyers (Orange, Black). This could be a clue as to what to expect with our new uni's and logo. If the seats are Dark Blue, our colors will probably be the same. But if I am right and the seats are black, we can probably expect a different color scheme for the new uni's and logo and black would be a major part of it. Take a look................are they Dark Blue or Black
Those Red and blue uni's I keep seeing on this thread remind me of Detroit! That will never work for the Rox. Try again.
If you are referring to my old Rockets website "Launch Pad", yes. I think I had the second Rockets fan website on the net when I built it around 1995. Even before Clutch City. It did pretty well. The goal was to inform Rockets fans outside of Houston with information. Then I ran out of time in doing it because of my job. And along that time Clutch started Clutch City. There was no reason to continue to do my site as Clutch's site had everything and a bag of chips! I then was one of the first guest writers for Clutch City with a column called "Rocket Science" but ran out of time to do that on a timely basis. That's my story!
I may be wrong, but when I talked to you back in 94' -95' (?) you had a site devoted to Macintosh computers (I used to work for Apple), a really good Rockets site (I read it everyday, especially around the time of the Barkley trade and before actually) and you had/have a site devoted to a well known rock band. Anyway, that's what I remember. Just wondering if you ran the Mac site back then too.
