When I saw thread title my first thought was you listened to BS podcast with Bogut where he brought it up, that Kerr's first focus in GSW was to work on fundamentals.
Fundamentals??? LMAO You mean like this: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/bEUvKOanhUg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> There's an entire blog [http://warriorsillegalscreensblog.blogspot.com/] dedicated to GSW and their 'fundamentals'.
Isn't this the same kinda play that cost us a game in the playoff against Utah????? Looks like the same thing scola did but worse.......
Dwight, Brewer, Smoove, Ariza, TJones. Way too many guys who have no fundamentals. Ariza and Brewer and TJones dribble at a high school level. Ariza and Brewer can't shoot a mid range jumper to save their lives. Dwight and JSmoove are just examples of players of the 2k era that were very athletic, but had no real skill and never developed anything so they become nobodies when that athletic ability is gone. TJones looks like he stopped working on his game after high school.
We need to retool around only Dwight and Harden. Let everyone else go. Start fresh this summer. Hell, i'd let Dwight go too if we could get a Noah and Horford front line. We need real basketball players, not former athletes.
Funny how this is a joke to some when in all honesty definitely needs to be addressed. There is a reason why personnel under the Poppavich system that move on to coach teams are so successful. Part of me wishes we could get a guy like Horry or Ellie to suit up and be a coach for us. We would be an amazing team if we could get a coach to institute discipline and fundamentals.
