……and a decade younger. Adams could teach this kid a lot. Ignore the false narrative, Edey would be a huge asset (no pun intended) for the Rockets.

With that unit I would send Sengun and Jabari down on the offensive end to play 2 on 5 which would be nothing for them and leave Clingan, Edey and Adams on the Defensive end to just be ready for the O. That should be an easy 82-0 season.

LOL. I'd like to see that. It would be interesting to watch that blockathon.

I'd love for us to take Sheppard at 3, buy another pick from a team looking to trade out, and pick Edey.

My dream outcome for this draft.

Could happen if the Rockets trade #3 for 7 & 14 from Portland.

Pick 21 is reportedly available. Would it be enough?

Probably not...I think he goes in the top 15.

    Sheppard will go top 4.

This was last years combine. Maybe I'm just old school, but watching him play the last 2 yrs and looking at him just function at the combine for the last 2 yrs, why the Rockets wouldn't draft him at 3 is puzzling. You can see pnp buckets and pnr options. He doesn't have to be glued down low, but when he does, he knows how to seal.

Edey should have hit Clingan with a couple of Too Small taunts or Double Biceps Flexes after how easily he scored on Clingan. Probably would have raised his draft stock significantly. Edey is gonna be very good if not great. He does everything you would want from a player his size. Shoots well, dominates in the post, blocks shots, and he is in great shape. He is being pushed down draft boards because of his uniqueness, but that is actually what makes him so special. Besides that he's been the best player in college for 2 years without even using his full arsenal.

He's like Rudy Gobert but a couple inches taller, a couple more inches on wingspan, dominant post game, and good shooting with range past 3pt line. Maybe Yao Ming with more range and better low post game would be closer. It's a copycat league so "traditional" centers are discounted, but there has never been a player with the combination of talent and skill that Edey has.

Teams that pass up on Edey may look like teams that passed on Steph for being too small and too dependent on he 3pt shot

If Edey had the Clingan PR team he would go #1.

Spurs will take him with their second pick and Castle with their 1st. Edey at C and Wemby at PF. Not gonna be good for the rest of us.

I think this is a real possibility. Wemby is not a center. Edey or Clingan would plug in nicely and Castle would provide perimeter defense equal to most anyone in this draft. They would sure suck at 3 pters though.

I just don't get it. He's also been coached hard and is very good at what he does. When he's dominating the NC State kid, he's supposed too, but when he does the same to a guy his size, now what. A team can do alot with him from screen roll, to pick and pop, to just getting easy baskets or getting teams in foul trouble. He stays in shape and has gotten better every year. Jmo

If Purdue won the Finals, he would have held the better cards.

He’d still be a mid round pick. His offense is fully predicated on being able to force his way into 3-4 feet from the bucket, like Shaq used to do. He won’t be able to do that in the NBA and he absolutely will not have the agility to guard anyone on the perimeter. He just limits your offense and defense in too many ways to be an all-star center. Same with Clingan, by the way. I do think he can be an effective center when playing teams with similar guys. We know he will do well against Clingan LOL.

Not sure as the NBA narrative from day one was that he was late first round early second round pick. Not sure what else he could do to prove himself….back to back player of the year and 25-13 reg season stats that were upped to 30-15 tournament stats. He then blew it away for a 7’4” guy at the combine with 58% threes on 25 shots and the fastest among the other centers he’s being compared to. RIDICULOUS!!! Only negative is age of 22 and everyone seems to have Dalton Knect (23) and Devin Carter (22) in the top 10. Oh, I forgot….didn’t miss a shot for Canada and outscored and outplayed Clingan 37-11 in the tournament. Rockets can trade down to 9 and grab him if the Spurs don’t pull a shocker at 8.
