Ya of course, they’re on bad teams so they get to play. I know people don’t care about objective facts, believe me.

Edey is really on a bad team….Memphis is the 3 seed in the West and half game out of 2 seed. Really bad team they are. Typical weak arse fan who makes excuses for everything and can’t just accept the guy has sucked up to this point and if he was worth 20 minutes a game then they’d be playing him 20 minutes a game (especially on a team with no Eason and Smith and Thompson the last two games). Instead he is getting what he’s currently worth and that’s a whopping zero minutes a game. He’s slow on defense, overthinks, lacks confidence, rushes his shots, and is generally too timid to shoot. Guess what that is called…..a project and potential bust at number 3 in the draft.

You’ll have to show me where i said he hasn’t sucked so far. All of the young guys that were drafted have sucked. Some of the old guys have been ok, but they have no long term potential so i don’t care about them. They don’t matter. You can do your name calling and being a dick, nobody cares bud.

Especially not as far as their fans are concerned. They are looking for anything positive. That's why I get the Reed hype. I knew he wasn't ready for a win now team. Other top rookies were better choices.

Ya of course he wasn’t, the list of guys his age that could actually contribute to winning in nba history you can count on one hand. This season doesn’t matter for the rockets, what matters is 2, 3, 4 years from now. If you think reed is hopeless, then it’s a bad pick. None of the lottery picks would be doing anything for the rockets except edey as an occasional backup, though idk if he plays over adams. I would take a 20% of reed hitting over edey 100 times outa 100 though, no brainer.

This is a great season so far. 2nd seed with a bunch of 22 yr olds is only a goof season? LMAO wtf you act like Rockets get a top 2 seed every year and win a ring every other year.

    Rockets arent the Celtics.

We are 2nd in the West, and like 5th in the NBA overall. With basically the youngest roster and tons of potential and draft assets. Maybe pump the breaks with the pessimism. ;)

A great season is winning a championship or going really deep in the playoffs (making the finals or conference finals).

I would rather have a great decade where we are competitive in the playoffs every year than risk everything to blow it up for one or two aging stars who probably get injured half of the time they are here.

Have people learned nothing from the Brooklyn Nets? Even a team that struck gold in the Clippers still probably regrets not staying the course with their young talent.

The Rockets also do not have as many draft assets as people think. You need to continue to add at least one good prospect a year in this league. We barely have the ability to ensure that can happen and should not trash our ability to have a farm system.

Of course in free agency in the Summer the Rockets should be open minded and look to add a star if they can. But with their core group of talent and picks they need to stay the course unless they have no choice but to move a young player. The rockets will regret moving their picks though.

Agree 100%…..not understanding how people can’t think we’re having a fantastic season when we made the cup final and have the 2nd best record in the very tough Western Conference. If I would have told you in October we’d be number 2 in the West just behind OKC in January, you wouldn’t have complained and probably wouldn’t have believed me. 3 years ago under Silas we were losing 10+ games in a row on a regular basis.

It worked for Eric Gordon! He was often injured in NOLA, came to Houston and flourished

Thats for a mature team trying to contend. We are a bunch of 22 yr olds its dumb to look at how good this team is now and give the Scola meme of they look ok.

Look at OKC last year they got first seed then got bounced by the Mavs. Is anybody smart saying their season last year was a failure? Or what about the Spurs having a winning record with Wemby on Y2. Everybody would say Spurs are over performing but you consider them a failure cuz they arent gonna win a championship or get far in the playoffs?

    Thats just wrong.

I gotta disagree unless we're getting a franchise player. I'd take Booker or KD but not guys like Butler (washed head case who hated our franchise), Beal (me first and Fox (couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat)

Please show me where I said anything about it being a failure? Or being pessimistic? I'll wait? Have they exceeded expectations thus far? Yes. I'm just not one of those people who throw the word great around. Like I said it's been a good season thus far. If you want to say really good I'm cool with that.

Solution for an injury-prone player? Get an even more injury-prone player. Brilliant!
