Wow. Some of you guys really are underrating this guy. He's a baller and can definitely help the rockets. Your delusional if you don't think we need pint guard help.
Better than Lowry. Lmao. Dude is a defensive sieve and is 5'7. Not only man to man but he has zero impact on close outs after the defense rotates. There's a reason midgets don't succeed in the nba bar a very select few, and even they have other world speed/length/explosiveness just to survive in the nba.

Jeremy Lin single handedly lost us 2 games against Portland while playing PG. I'd say our PG problem is huge
I really like IT, but I think Canaan has a lot of potential as well... I think I'd rather roll with Bev, and Canaan tbh. I think Canaan's defense is underrated as well. He's a better defender than Lin ever was. He's solidly built...strong...And he can knock down the three. I think he just needs some playing time to get comfortable... We spent all these picks on these rookies...Money on UDFA's...Coaching staff needs to develop them and put them to use. They have talent.
I agree that Canaan has decent potential and Bev has a great attitude (and defense), however they both do not strike me as starting point guards on a championship squad. Isaiah Thomas is more in the Dragic/Lowry mold and would be an 18-20ppg starter on this team. Bev can come in (as a backup) and make up for his supposed lack of defense.
Not that I disagree because I think he'd be a solid PG upgrade, but JR Smith had an eFG of 51.4%. Corey Brewer had 51.7%. So stats don't necessarily tell the whole story. I just got the feeling he punched a bit above his weight this season. That said, I would be pumped if we signed him haha.
Thanks for all of the great replies. Sounds like the biggest concern is his size/defense. That is understandable. I watched several of his games last year and I have to disagree, though, with those who have called him a shoot first guard. He is an excellent passer, who loves to throw the alley oop and that would serve Dwight Howard and Terrance Jones (if he is still here) very well. The Kings historically have been poor at judging their own talent, so I think he could be had in a sign and trade deal for somebody like Lin. Seems like a Morey type player (good stats and undersized), so I hope we do not lose out on the opportunity while chasing "fools gold" elsewhere.
no thanks he has his acting career he can fall back on though <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/iDfGrrwVPDU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/nUzOMMbsZ7I" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
