Head should be playing more, but right now JVG is trying to stick with the vetrans and figure out his rotation. Head will get more minutes and so will Swift if the loosing continues.

I agree with the posts on Yao setting picks up top in the fourth quarter. WTF was Van Gundy thinking. Yao should have been down low in the box dominating. If it was the Dream you bet he would've not been wasting his energy setting picks for guards, by the way that is where Yao spent his energy doing in fourth.

Is it because the other team was packing the paint so Yao going to the high post mixes up the defense? I don't know. Whatever JVG was trying to do wasn't working.

Mutombo only played 13 minutes. If JVG needed some picks he could have used Mutombo. That would have free Yao up to dominate the paint. JVG was clearly outcoached by his bro.

Like Magic Johnson said in half time, it was Yao against five out there.

It's hard to be the closer if you are the only threat of the team. It doesn't help that at this stage of his career Yao is still very stoppable. Throw two or three players at Yao, fronting him with one and pushing him from behind with the other, then you can pretty much take him out of the game. Therefore, the strategy of the other teams is obvious: swarm Yao Ming in the paint and see if someone else can beat them. But they can afford to do that now only because Tmac is out. Once Tmac is back, they will have to pick their poison.

Stay optimistic everyone. We will be good in a hurry. Go Rockets!

I think hes been a little less effective, but thats only because he only has one option atm, and that Yao, no one else period is really hitting any shots. I think it will look alot better when he has 2 options to go to.

We need a CLUTCH third Option
Most teams will try to contain Tracy
    and
Shut Yao down in the fourth

    SOMEONE
    has to step up

When Tracy comes back, we will have our closer. If teams try to double both he and Yao, it will be easier for DA or JB to step up because they will be wide open. We'll be fine.

Luther Head is someone that can score in the clutch, and when his team is against the odds. Just watched the last national championship game.

Even though Illinois lost at the end, he's the only player still plays with heart until the last minute and almost single handedly bring his team back and make it a close game down to the wire.

Just look at Ben Gordon last year for the bulls. He's a rookie but he specialize in 4th quarter scoring and help his team win games.
