Capela is ready to play the DeAndre Jordan role. Block shots and dunk. Let Dwight rest for a month to fix whatever is bothering him and experiment with Capela.
I felt bad for dumping on him so much lately after all the stuff about his knee still bothering him came out -- but I have to say, his laughing on the court when things are going poorly is becoming annoying AF.
Capela is not ready. Dude is way too raw for the NBA. Get back to me in the summer of 2016 though when Dwight is looking for a fat extension. He may be good enough to step in by then(and for a helluva lot less).
How sad is it that the people here in this thread care SO MUCH MORE than Dwight Howard. I always thought this dude was misunderstood. But I'm beginning to understand that it was ME who misunderstood.
The Rockets give up 5.4 points more per 100 possessions with Dwight on the bench. They also score 2.5 points fewer per 100 possessions....numbers don't lie. This is even playing through knee pain for a while now and the Rockets playing there easy part of there schedule in his absence.
What concerns me that most is Dwight Howard's mental toughness. It seems like if things don't go his way the first few minutes of the game or if a player that can frustrate Howard it distracts him and takes his mind off the game. Even though I'm sure Howard's knee is still bothering him.
I disagree, he's the best option we have now. Capela is not even close to being ready yet. McHale needs better play calling. More lobs and pnr with d12, Smith, harden.
He's soft like Kobe said. It's not about playing tough physically he doesn't have heart or just the pure want to do more than what it takes to truly be a champion. He just expects it to happen because it just should in his mind. He's sadly mistaken. That's why most in the league don't respect him as a competitor. Dwight is just a playful athlete.
Howard's knee is still bothering him,It's true! but it's diffcult for Howard to win a chanpion. I would trade him to New York or Boston or Miami
He's killing the chemistry of this team. He needs to play the same role as Black and Dorsey played while he was out. He should not get any plays run for him and he should not take any shots unless they are dunks. His three main functions should be play defense, get rebounds and dunk the ball. If he can't understand that or play that way sit his ass on the bench. We really should bring Black back or bring Capela up from the D league. Players that understand their role and know their limitations would be better for the team.
It;s not only Howard's problem, it's the coaches problem, the coaches didn't understand how to play Howard Howard has played uncomfortable ball, he can't help the team. or fire HcHale, or trade Howard,or both
Sooooooooo pathetic!!!!!!! And I never thought I'd witness a Center softer than Yao. I wonder how toyota is gonna edit that legacy of bigs portrait.
