I wouldn't mind just abandoning the lottery altogether and giving everyone the same odds. Tanking is brutal to watch and is a crapshoot to get a crapshoot of a player.
Not even cleverly disguised…that is what needs to be done as he isn’t tanking based on his 3 game win streak and really quite honestly sucks as a head coach. Some suggestions for him next year is to institute passing more to Jabrari and not playing Nix at all. Those two simple suggestions alone could net us more victories. Also, get rid of the assistant coaches….only two worth a dime based on the halftime interviews are the Mohammad guy and Lucas. Rest of them are embarrassingly incompetent and will never be sought aftef by other teams.

I believe the objective of losing/tanking can still be achieved by feeding more opportunities to Smith. As we all agree, he isn’t near a finished product but the experience these last few weeks would serve him and the team well for next year when he hopefully bulks up and refines his game.
Not coaching. You realize the Rockets don’t run sets on offense? They have a read and react offense meaning this style relies on player decision making. Not coaches—players. They usually run a high screen and roll or try to drive off dribble handoffs from the high post or wings. But this turns into a free flowing offense that uses judgement of the players. Often it looks like shi+ with bad spacing and the players are slow to read the defense and passing too late. Not getting into their actions quick enough. But You are right the Rockets don’t have a lot of good facilitators and playmakers and the ball simply stops with KPJ.
You either see the floor or you don’t. Alperen Sengun is the only guy on this team that naturally makes his teammates better.
