Rockets need SOME midrange game

    We were a bad 3 pt shooting team last year.
    Upgraded in significant positions for this season.

    Also, it was more that we failed to stop Portland.

    Oh, and also the officials screwed us at the end of 2 games. We were up 4-1 when Lillard hit 'the shot'. When the officials tell you that you need to go 6-1 to win a series, it can be tough.

    FWIW regarding Rockets mid-range jumpers this year so far in relation to total shots.

    Lakers 13/73 (18%)
    Utah 10/77 (13%)
    Celtics 8/76 (11%)
    Sixers 12/75 (16%)
    Heat 4/68 (6%)

    Yet we're still having success and tons of open looks from 3s. Just goes to show you making 3s don't come from being able to make 2pt jumpers. They simply come from being able to make 3s. Ariza, Terry, Canaan, Papanikalaou are getting the same looks Lin, Parsons, Garcia, and Casspi were getting last year. They're simply better shooters as a group overall.
