steve is unquestionably this team's best player. if he struggles, we struggle, if he's going good, we're going good. the same can be said about yao but a lesser extent. i'm shocked, though, that steve is winning in the poll. other posters must still be too busy fawning over yao's three to have had time to vote yet.
yao ming is mvp, we would be alot better if we had ming and not francis, rather then francis and no ming, but they both tight
Actually. Y'all are right. We would have a better record with Francis and without Yao than with Yao and without Francis. So I GUESS Francis is more valuable NOW. But Yao.....he is the marketing item. Everyone wants to see him.
I wonder who are the five that voted for Mobley? *lol* And I can understand Mo Taylor getting some votes -- I thought it would be more than the two he;s got -- b/c remember when he had a stretch (including that game @ WAS even though we loss) of really great games off the bench and there was a question if Rudy T should start him over Griffin (Coach even thought abou this too).
Yao's my favorite player in the league, but Steve is the MVP of the Rockets. Maybe in the future, Yao will be the man or share it with Steve, but not at this moment.
I vote for Steve. Without Steve's clutch performances and high assists games (usually when we win), our record would look just about like it did last year. With or without Yao.
I wonder who Clutch would vote for. If you read this Clutch, where does your vote go -- the Franchise or the Dynasty?
i haven't fully read everyone's reply's but i haven't seen a thing about cato. although his numbers aren't as good as previous dissapointing seasons, he has been the only consistent rocket all year long. last year it was kt. as psyched as i am about yao, you have to realize that cato's production is no fluke, as we appraoch the home stretch of the season. although other players may be more talented, the blue collar work that cato has put in has been amazing. anybody who disagrees should doesn't know this team. think about it, you could have had this exact same poll before the season and of course cato wouldn't have been considered. it's not about the stars, it's about the role players and that goes all the way from the olympics, to the nba, and even to the ymca league. THE PROSTITUTION RESTS
Cato is fulfilling his role, finally. However, he's getting paid a lot to do very little in comparison.. so grumble grumble rabble rabble to that. Voting for Cato, however, would be like voting Keon Clark the MVP of the Kings.
