I am in totoal agreement with ROCKETBOOSTER. If the information was leaked then it means one thing..... Rockets go BIG.

JayZ, yeah I know his vision is bad.

Haven, see thats exactly what they knew you would think, and say.

Man they have you, the rest, and Andy KAtz right were they want you.

I do find it odd that Battiers has faded, faded away....hmmmmmmm?

    Ponder this:

When was the last time the Rockets took someone in the draft they had been talking about taking in the three weeks before the draft?

    Try to remember even ONE.

There's a slim chance that the Rockets could move into the 4 spot if Chicago can't move up and get Curry. The top three picks could easily be Brown, Curry, and Battier (Atl). In this case if Chicago wants to move down and get Woods with our pick they can.

Another scenario has the Wizards moving down and selecting Rodney White. In which case Griffin may or may not go #1.

The misdirection, subterfuge and outright lying that takes place about this time of year in the NBA would make most politicians blush.

We don't have the assets to get a number one pick, without giving up so much it would gut the team.

    Or do we?

another big rumor is that Curry is sucking during workouts. If that's true... and if Brown goes first, what would the Clips do? Griffin isn't a good pick b/c of Odom and Miles. Battier isn't a good pick... b/c of Odom and Miles. Diop's a stretch for the Clips too.

Achebe...I heard that in that scenario the Clips would just take Curry and then deal him to the highest bidder, probably Chicago.

There's no chance the Rocks move up for Kwame Brown. He's a power forward, and the Rockets are guranteed of retaining 2 of their power forwards for next season(Mo, KT).

You poor fools. If we move up past Detroit or Boston, it will be for a small forward

Its going to take alot for Houston get up there, but I think it can be done if MJ or Clipps have another deal in place.

I think the Clippers are a possible target if Curry really sucks. After all, they've already got star power with Odom, Miles, Maggette, etc. Maybe they want a true PG and a few draft picks.

I'd be mighty upset if Houston took Brown over Griffin... the boy's unreal.

I guess I should have said try to remember one in the past 10 years. Besides, it is a bit disingenious to be coy when you have a top pick. No reason to play hide the ball.

Assuming this report has any truth to it, why would the Rockets leak info that they were trying to move up for a shot at Griffin, when almost everyone expects him to be gone in the top 3 & very likely, the #1 overall pick? If they were negotiating with Washington for the #1 pick, why would they even remotely risk having another team pony up & offer more for the top pick? It just doesn't make any sense.

As far as those that question what we have to offer Washington for the #1 pick, we have 3 things, 3 #1 picks/2 future #1 picks/CAP SPACE. Any combination of picks & helping them with cap relief might get it.

Granted, Dickerson was a strong possibility because everyone knew we had to have a two guard and Michael was a top two guard. Bigger men usually go first, so that one was pretty obvious.

    Cat?

I guess that's why they took him with the 16th pick, or was it the 18th? Sure, he was one of a dozen they spoke of favorably, but I do not recall them ever suggesting he was their target. I do recall them talking highly of Lewis.

Othella was the first guy to go in the second round, and was too small at center to go in the first round.

    Rhodes? Turkcan? Drew? Pryzbilla? Thomas?

    Did you see those coming?

I'd say Rudy and Carroll do a pretty good job of hiding the ball.

If you hear about them wanting a player, it is always best to ask why they would want to tip their hand. The more I hear they are after a player, the less I believe it.

If the Clippers or Golden St. had the No.1 pick, then I could believe this might be possible w/o giving up Francis or Cat, because their management is stupid enough to do that.

But is the Washington management that stupid? I doubt it.

And Brown is better than Griffin.

I might be wrong here, but I'm thinking that the biggest priorities for Washington would be loading up on #1 draft picks & freeing up cap space. You gotta figure that if Jordan, Barkley & whomever else he gets to come join the geriatric ward, would only be around for a couple of years. Another thought might be that we prearrange a sign & trade of Dream going to Washington & swap picks.

Whatever happens, you gotta believe that the Rockets are going to make some bold moves.
