He has fundamental skills but they aren't as strong as the alltime greats. He is overrated in that area. He's a strong power player his finesse game is not alltime great like a Magic Johnson. He's just lucky to be playing in this era because he would be exposed otherwise.
Yeah, he was crazy inefficient for the whole playoffs in 2015. He carried a very heavy load as the players on his team that weren't D-League types were all injured. And considering how virtually everyone agrees LBJ gave a HECK of a Finals performance overall, to use that as support for his poor shooting fundamentals is pretty underwhelming. Since we are talking about the player's career as a whole, I don't think a handful of games are that indicative, esp. since CLE overperformed almost everyone's expectations in the Finals, 90% because of LBJ. Look, I get it, you had this whole narrative spelled out in your head, created by some articles you read or your own personal distaste of LBJ formed over time. You then consistently state these things to be semi-contrarian with your real life sports buddies so that you come off more knowledgeable because defending the obvious is too pedestrian. But you've never really looked into it to prove your point, aside from a handful of opinion pieces (at best) that you've stumbled upon over the yrs, and now you've gotten yourself in an inevitably indefensible position and kinda want out. Cool. To say LBJ is somehow not one of the top players to ever play the game (where in the top is debatable, but ain't no one saying he's not future HOF shoo-in), or even more egregiously, lacking in "fundamentals" (even relative to your "all time greats", which included Kobe <see earlier post>)...is just plain wrong. It's your opinion, but it is an incorrect one, as in it is not supported by facts or reality. Happens.
He will be a hall of famer and he deserved that but he's still overrated by the nba and the world. If Cleveland beats Warriors nobody would be able to say anything negative about Lebron. Chicago is Michael Jordan, Houston is Hakeem, Boston is Bird, Miami is Wade, Magic is L.A., Curry is Oakland. Now Cleveland is Lebron but he has to bring that ring home let's see if he can do it next year.
Haha I will give you credit for one thing. I don't agree with a number of your comments (I don't think they are correct nor properly supported), but you do have a pretty good temperament. My last comment was, imo, a bit harsh, but yet you've generally never stooped to slinging insults. Kudos.
Well, this thread is not for LBJ and Cavs. The direction of this thread goes to a wrong road if we talk them. Who cares if he is great or not, he is not on the rockets. Still I think the rockets should be top 4 if GS is no.1, which are mainly based on the last year performance.
