James will still come off the bench to put energy out there on the floor if we're playing slow footed. He'll have the occasional 20 point game this season. Sura is still gonna risk his deteriorating body night in and night out and may have a potential triple double game this season. These things we know for certain. Add in the other intangibles the other guards will bring and you might be pleasantly surprised by those guys.

I liken our PGs to the three headed monster centers in the Bulls championship run. Those guys were mainly a bunch of white stiffs that were big, could eat up fouls, and clog the paint. Were they amazing? No, but they filled their role and did just fine. The end result by the end of the game was a win. And that's all that matters.

In the end our success is gonna ride on the shoulders of Yao and T-Mac. If they prove to be the best combo in the league, than we're gonna be the favorites no matter what the scenario is. You think the Rockets championship runs were dependant on whether Kenny Smith was gonna put up 20 a night and dish out 8 assists? No. The Rockets were dependant on Hakeem to go out there, do his thing, and be the best basketball player on the planet. It will be no different for this squad.

I agree Shaq is on the decline. But I don't know if you can count on Duncan slipping any time soon. He won't even be 30 'til 2006 and it's not like his game is reliant on speed or hops right now. Unfortunately, I think Timmy D is gonna be the toughest out in the league for years to come. Doesn't mean T-Mac and Yao won't get him though!
