RKMan, I hope you were joking about the western conference stuff, and will assume you are... about the stats, though... COME ON. Mo with 9 rebounds? Hakeem with 21 points? Stevie had 25 PPG? ------------------ Who's ya daddy?

RKMAN... U are either a fanatic or way too positive, yes it would be nice but like they say.. It ain't gonna happen... too much competition within the western conference. ------------------ When I die I want to go right after watching a rockets game !
I dont think Collier will do much , I predicted he will average around 2.something in very limited minutes , he will only play in 38 games though ------------------ President of nothing
dang you so-called rocket-fans , learn how to spell Dream's name , its not Hakeem Olajowun its Hakeem Olajuwon , and i should know Ive looked at his name enough times on my 275 different basketball cards ------------------ President of nothing
uhhh if you look closer there are little dots in front of the 5 blks , its .5 blocks ------------------ President of nothing
RKMan, 13 and 9 would NOT make Mo Taylor a bust, especially for the exception. Man, 9 rpg would be great! 13 ppg isn't that good for him, but it's still reasonable with the guards doing so much of the scoring. Besides, if you have Hakeem scoring 21 every game, how can you blame Taylor for only getting 13 when he obviously wouldn't be getting very many touches in the post? Anyway . . . MY MOCK STATS: Francis 19.1 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 7.2 apg Anderson 13.1 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 2.8 apg Williams 10.2 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 2.3 apg Taylor 15.4 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 1.7 apg Olajuwon 11.8 ppg, 7.8 rpg, 1.5 apg (if healthy) Norris 4.3 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 2.8 apg Mobley 14.8 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 2.9 apg Thomas 6.8 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 0.8 apg Cato 8.1 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 0.9 apg (w/healthy Hakeem) Don't expect Anderson, Mobley, or Williams to increase their scoring averages substantially. Remember, the Rockets had no post-up threat last season, so perimeter players got almost ALL the shots. With Taylor and (hopefully) a healthy Hakeem, Houston will have a couple of low post options to run plays for. This means that other players (especially Mobley) will receive fewer shots. Also, if Hakeem is healthy and can contribute on a nightly basis, don't expect Cato's numbers to increase. While he might improve himself as a player, his playing time will be diminished this season if Hakeem can actually breathe. Be sure to look at Cato's play--and not his stats--to see how good he is. Finally, be realistic about your expectations for these players. Just because a player improves his skills does not mean that his scoring average will increase. There are only so many shots to be taken in the course of a 48-minute NBA game. A player can have great scoring ability and still not average a lot of ppg. Keep that in mind. ------------------
To do the exact sums, amazing amount of effort has to be put in so I won't suggest detailed stats. There few points which I like to make, 1)Considering what kind of year Vince had, I just have a feeling Steve will raise his game substantially. As I mentioned it before, Steve has everything the basketball player needs to possess; Work ethic, Speed, athleticism, passing ability, potential to play good defence, shooting touch(needs to make better shot selection though, ball handling and rebounding are all there in his dictionary. He is as complete as it can come. So I expects him to net around 22pts, 9ast, 7rebound, 1.7steals, 3.3tun. I also believe Anderson could raise his average to around 14pts. I don't expect Cat's averages to raise coming out from bench, since Rockets is far deeper than there were a year ago. The line-up of Kenny, Langhi, Cato, Moochie, Cat is going to be one of the deepest bench in the league, not to mention they are young. Given minutes and role I think any of those player which I have listed could be a nice role player. All we needs is a dominating big men with inferior D and solid rebounding. Also I don't expect Dream to average more than 13pts since the team will be built on Francis, not him. I expect Dream to be a 4-5option since It will be difficult for him to find a role in this team. We are good enough without Dream to make the playoffs. Anything extra beside leadership, and consulting from Dream will be bonuses. Don't get me wrong, I want to see Dream in his hay day. Realistically speaking, that is just not possible. ------------------ Hack a Shaq you'll be winning Hack-him you'll be dreaming.
Numbers don't tell the story.....If we take these numbers, and put them up against the Heat, we would look better....since this is based mostly on offense...But the Heat are clearly better for now....... By the way, I heard the Heat are after PIG for frontcourt depth....is that true?? I wouldn't blame him, he'd get more time there since they have very little depth in the frontcourt...... ------------------
