Check this out in the Chronicle. The Rockets might sign Chuck Hayes to take Glover's spot.

Glover releasedThe Rockets released injured guard/forward Dion Glover, a move likely made to create a roster spot for former Kentucky forward Chuck Hayes.

Hayes, who played for the Rockets in the preseason and on their summer league team, has been playing for the Albuquerque Thunderbirds of the NBA Development League, averaging 10.6 points and 9.4 rebounds per game.

Hayes, a 6-6 power forward, was MVP of the Portsmouth Invitational camp before the draft and a first-team SEC pick and SEC Defensive Player of the Year as a Kentucky senior.

Glover, who played five seasons with the Atlanta Hawks, hurt his right knee on the first day of Rockets training camp and had microfracture surgery last month. He had a non-guaranteed contract, but because he was released while injured, he will be paid until healthy.

bleh...I thought Glover's release and open spot would make way for some sort of 2-for-1 trade...whats the point of signing Hayes, who's just gonna lounge on the bench anyway...atleast sign a swingman or guard...

Does this mean one of our PFs would be traded for Non-PF, Chuck then would be a back up?

We need CHUCK NORRIS, not Chuck Hayes :( Even President Truman knew he had to drop the atomic bomb, if he would have sent in Chuck Norris instead the devastation would have been too great... :p

Couldn't be worse than Bowen, who seems to get at least 10 minutes a game.

Chuck Norris once roundhouse kicked someone so hard that his foot broke the speed of light, went back in time, and killed Amelia Earhart while she was flying over the Pacific Ocean.

oyeah Chuck Norris recently had the idea to sell his urine as a canned beverage. We know this beverage as Red Bull.
