    Guys you do realize that people CONTACT THE ROCKETS all the time about stuff like this.

    McHale's people notably pursued the Rockets about the coaching position before, and more than likely Martin and his agent are pursuing positions themselves since its obvious now that Kenyon isn't going to get a training camp invite, and needs to plan on the next step of his career.... which for most players is to try and break into coaching.

    If this is something he's passionate about than I have no earthly idea why folks think its a bad idea for Morey and co to at least give the guy an interview, and discuss current openings, or ideas they have for roles down the line.

    Also doesn't Leon Rose represent Kenyon Martin? The same Leon Rose that represents Kevin Durant among others?

    I'm joking here, but you get the point. He might be represented by someone else I can't recall. Taking a meeting from a recently retired NBA vet who is hungry to pursue coaching isn't a bad thing. Not sure what the grief is about. Its not like they fired McHale and hired K Martin to be the head coach yesterday or something (actually, would he be that much worse?).
