    so it's really just precaution. he simply stated the team and him don't want a repeat of last year.

    What drives me crazy is that he writes he is back and all that stuff and he is saying now he is not. But it is good.

    I remember last season...

    well if you listen to what he's saying, he's saying the same things: i'm ready.

    but it's up to the doctors and the rockets on when he can play.

    TMAC: i'm ready man. but the docs told me just to give it some time.

    there it is folks. he's fine. they just want him to practice HARD, practice on a daily basis, doing things v. shane/ariza... then go from there.

    It is unbelivable, isn't it. And last year he was comming off a normal surgery and this year he is recovering from microfracture.

    Only 12 months...

    so if this wasn't a contract year, you don't think tracy would be as motivated as he is with the way the season went last yr?

    contract year helps? yes. but i wouldn't doubt his motivation to play well again even if this wasn't a contract year.

    like tracy said in his media day video, coming off an all-nba season then having people calling you washed up, unless you have no pride, that will motivate you.

    If this year wasn't a contract year, I'm not so sure Tracy even goes for the microfracture surgery.

    If you did, watch it again... And LISTEN. Don't just hear what the guy's saying.

    I'll even reiterate what he said.

    He stated and REINFORCED that it has nothing to do with this being a contract year. He could care less. Plus, he wants to stay in Houston.

    for a guy who cant do or say anything right these days, there's no way he couldve screwed it up by saying "yeah man. i mean im in my contract year. i'm trying to get paid so i gotta be in shape."

    from how he answered the question, he still thinks he's an all-nba level player. so yes, i'm sure he would have done the same thing.

    hes not saying hes not ready; he IS ready but he just doesnt want to repeat like last year, last year, he thought he was ready and just went out any play and boom boom pow he goes down..so this year he thinks hes ready but hes also listening to the doctors thats why hes not going to be out there til like november
