and i didn't really buy the yahoo sports article either. neither adelman nor mcgrady have confrontational "heated" personalities.

but you buy an outside source who overheard something in the hall outside a room, but neither of the two people inside? 100%?

BS. As one of out insiders said, Feigan is the Rockets puppet. He reports what the rockets tell him to report. No way the Rockets are going to admit Rick and Tracy got in a heated argument, which I bet is what happened. As someone said above, the Chron is losing its credit.

you mean a potentially unbiased source as opposed to someone affilaited with the rockets?

i agree with an earlier poster. its probably somewhere in the middle. but im not going to just discount something because its from Yahoo. They have broken stories in the past, where Chron has "ties" to the Rockets.

last time i checked it was the reporters, media, and paparazzi that go to the celebrities, and ask them a million questions to get information.

This is McGrady and his people going to the media. It was an attempt to vilify Adelman. To paint the picture that he's holding back a ready to go McGrady.

McGrady's admitted as much that he's pushing the issue about his comeback with Adelman. They do not agree.

A team player, a good teammate doesn't run off to the media.

And that is the bottom line.

We don't know what's going on just a bunch of speculation. I'm sure people are not seeing eye to eye right now but we don't know exactly what is going on behind the scenes.

I hope this version is true. You never know though.

If TMac were willing to be a role player, move the ball, hustle on defense and take the rock to the basket I would welcome him back but he would still have to earn his minutes. No more heat checks, no more dominating the ball or stopping the offense (that is JVG's way not RA's) and except your role regardless what it is. Play with energy and leadership off the bench or in the starting line-up. But don't think you are owed minutes or a spot in the starting rotation.

Then and only then if he does all of that we will see if he is still better than what we are throwing out there now.

I can tell you this I certainly do not want to impede Chase or Trevor's development. In my mind he would be battling Battier for playing time. At this point in their careers I'm not sure who is the better basketball player but or the better fit on this team. Last years version of TMac was not as good as last years or this years version of Battier and certainly did not fit better as a team player.

What ever happens I hope it turns out good for the Rockets and I hope it's a move that turns into a championship.

One of the hosts in 610AM this morning said his sources said that Adelman denied the heated exchange. The host said he was 99% McGrady was the source in the Yahoo article. Which to him meant that it was likely McGrady is pushing buttons to get out of Houston.

At any rate, one thing we can say for sure is that no one in this whole mess is talking straight.

do you think sources just give info like that out of the kindness of their heart? I'm sure they got paid somehow, so i wouldn't call that unbiased, they could have exaggerated the story to make it valuable.

Once again, this doesn't vilify Adelman as much as it makes McGrady look bad, just like it did with Iverson. No player or agent with any sense would make this up and leak it themselves. It is most likely an outside source seeing a chance for controversy and playing it up.

Tracy getting in argument with Adelman or Morey does nothing to prove that he is ready unless he has the doctor's opinion to back it up and he doesn't. Making him look like he is trying to force the issue during a good Rockets run without him, is not something a person with even the minimum PR understanding McGrady has shown at times would be foolish enough to do purposely.

Of course they are going to deny it. We don't know what exactly happen. If they did have an heated exchange common sense would tell you they would deny it.

let me put it this way...if the rocketshad a tough first half, and someone overheard adelman drilling the team at halftime and players were also responding and voicing frustration, could they claim there was yelling, a heated exchange? Yes, of course it happens all the time so it wouldn't become a big story, but does it mean they have issues with each other? Prob not. That's all i think it was, Tmac spilling his guts to RA and RA shrugging and saying "i know, but we just have to wait" and that was all. The only heat was from tmac explaining how badly he wanted to play and RA telling him his hands were tied..Sometimes voices get loud when you're trying to make a point, it doesn't mean the point you're making is about the other individual or that there's anger towards that individual.
