http://woelfelspressbox.com/2018/06/there-isnt-a-shortage-of-interest-in-parker/ From Gery Woelfel who covers the Bucks Two teams who could enter the picture in a sign-and-trade scenario are Houston and the Los Angeles Clippers. Both organizations have a high regard for Parker as a player and person. Houston, which advanced to the Western Conference Finals last season, clearly wants to add another quality player and is hoping to land either James or George, while the Clippers and Bucks had discussions before the trading deadline last February centering around Parker and Blake Griffin. Griffin eventually was dealt to the Detroit Pistons.
I can see this... We want to get younger, he won't take many assets. I'm thinking we go Anderson/picks?
I'd bet a lot of money they won't, because accepting a S&T player would hard cap the Rockets at the apron.
Sign-and-trade would hard-cap the Rockets... it's why LeBron is not really an option any longer. And Woelfel does not have a good track record.
Happy Saturday. Jabari is that popular "look" for all teams....he's similar to Wiggins in Minny in the sense that the potential hasn't been met. Also, look for the mini, who left Minny, who could be EGO insurance. He's friends with CP...like the rest of the league lol From my "family," the more interesting mention is Malcolm. He allegedly wants a larger role and does not see the chance to function within the dominance of the Greek. Even more, Danielle Cantor (great friend) has been working to push her clients into bigger cities and Houston has some interest. Otto Porter was her first major success. One Kawhi's drama is settled, PG and LBJ will fall into place. And, don't believe for a moment that guys really want to play with Russ. It's a money thing.
I will cry if we replace Eric Gordon with Jamal Crawford regardless of what Gordon nets us. I would be in agony for years
Jamal Crawford? Malcolm Brogdon? Interesting on Kawhi. Unless he's moved here in the 3 days to week, I would have thought PG and LeBron will have signed("agreed to terms") by then. And don't buy that PG really likes playing with Russ, OKC can just offer the most money. And don't buy Carmelo wants to play with Russ, no one walks from $28M.
The "mini" who left Minny... I'm thinking Glenn Robinson III (started career in Minnesota). GR3 shot 41% from 3 after coming back from injury last year and is a free agent this year.
I'm not sure how we could realistically acquire Parker short of him demanding to be sent to Houston, the QO being withdrawn, and signing him to an exception.... He would be a fantastic fit as small ball 4 though!
He's the type of player they should be targeting, similar to Eric Gordon a few years ago. A guy with potential but a bad injury history. Taking a gamble like that is probably the only way to improve the roster at this point.
Parker may have the worst biomechanics i've seen, he makes Derrick Rose look like Russell Westbrook in how he runs, jumps, and lands. Just endless heel pounding. For sure will suffer a major injury if he comes here
