Now is the time to trade T-Mac.

    McGrady/Alston/Head
    For
    Davis/Morning/Wright/Haslem/Williams

Houston would tank the season and recieve 4 expiring contracts to sign Brand and Arenas.

    Yao/Scola
    Brand/Haslem/Hayes
    Battier/Novak
    James/Francis
    Arenas/Brooks

Trade James and Hayes for a starting 2 guard someone with size and a outside shot who can play defense and finish in transition.
Haslem can also play the 3 spot, draft another 3 or 2 with a good pick. Dont need another undersized 2 guard.

Trading McGrady would be the deal breaker to trade Alston and Head away.

    Yao/Morning/Mutombo
    Haslem/Scola/Hayes
    Battier/Wright/Wells
    Davis/Francis/Snyder
    Williams/Brooks/James

Free Agent List after this season.. Just think about it. Trading McGrady for Williams,Mourning,Wright,Davis dont look all that bad which i have a feeling its going to happen since Houston is looking at Williams to offset what really is going down. Then Houston would have 8 expiring contracts.

    Wells,Snyder,Mutombo,Williams,Davis,Mourning,Francis player option..

Something tells me that Morey is going to trade T-Mac to Miami to play with Wade and Shaq. He might even spice it some to extend the trade to land Haslem like dealing Alston and Head as well. Remember earlier this year he was trying to land Haslem before the season started..

One teentsie problem, I believe Mourning has suffered a knee injury that at the very least puts him out for the season and possibly end his career. Oops!

Does that really matter. What are the rules in moving injured players? Do they have to pass a physical before trades becomes official ??

Don't know the official rules on this but, does it make sense to make a trade and include someone who is injured? Possibly for good?

There has to be a better option than that.

Im trying to follow Miami here the article suggest moving Williams in a 1for1 deal isnt easy and suggest that moving Williams in a bigger deal would be easier because of Mourning being out. Also they are talking with Memphis, so with in this next month or so something i feel is seriously going down. Could there be a 3 team deal on the horizen ??

Something tells me Jerry Buss is going to trade Kobe to play with Andre Iguodala and Samuel Dalembert, I just "feel" it....

What kind of intuition is that?

Miami, Memphis, Houston, not playing all that great so its possible.

Im just reading the article and it saids Houston has interest in Williams. But Miami has interest in Miller and Swift and said moving Williams in a 1for1 deal isnt easy. So there must be something on the horizen. You would think Moving Williams for what Miami lacks PG depth, Post, Shooter, then there must be a multi player trade coming.

Alston and Williams have very similar games. I'd say that Williams plays a little bit faster, but they're pretty even. So, under the theory that our offense runs well with Alston in charge, Williams would be more of the same.

I'd trade Snyder, James, and Hayes for Williams. We'd save money, improve at backup PG, and create more time for Landry and/or Novak.

There has got to be someone out there who could be better for Houston. But James Snyder Hayes would work because we move James contract. Williams contract would help us out more than his play.

any deal that brings in jwill would more than likely send rafer and/or james packing.

the salary dump alone is worth it. the plus side is that williams has experience with adelmans system and has championship experience.

Half of those players on the FA list, are probably going to resign with their teams. Then 1/4 of those players on that list have the option to stay with their team.

Grizzlies ship out an old PG who is being phased out by Lowry and Conley anyway, and a SF (Warrick) who is lost in the shuffle and is going to walk after this year. They gain an athletic wing (Snyder) who could possibly thrive in their offense and is expiring, as well as a 22 year old G/F with great potential (Wright) who also happens to be expiring.

Miami loses their veteran PG (Williams) and a G/F (Wright) who they may not keep next year because they are still in "win now" mode until Shaq retires and Wright is wet behind the ears. They bring in another veteran PG (Stoudamire), and a couple of gunners in James and Head. They're hurting from losing Kapono and this move could help them out in the 3 point department, especially with the wide open looks these guys would get from Wade/Shaq.

Rockets give up 2 guys that have been relegated to the bench as of late (Snyder, James) and a tweener (Head) who brings shooting and little else. Head would be a keeper if he never had to handle PG duties, but on this team he does. Meanwhile, Rockets gain another elite ball handler (not to be confused with elite PG) with experience in Adelman's system and happens to have a large expiring contract. They also pick up an athletic big who can swing between the 3 and the 4. He fills the void the Rockets have for a long, quick, athletic specimen. Also has an expiring contract if they don't like his outlook.

I think this is a realistic trade that I do if I'm the Rockets.

Well thought out trade. These seem to be the types of trades that actually go down...
