@#$%@#$%!% this would have been awesome!! Brooks/Lowry Martin/Buddinger Ariza/Jeffries Stoudemire/Hill Hayes/Anderson/Armstrong
Too bad. Would have been a epic day. I'd give up Battier and Scola for Amar'e...and maybe even that 2011 we just got from the Knicks...afterall Amare is a sure thing.
Very ambitious of Morey. If he would have pulled that off last minute wow. Can't say we didn't at least try.
Wow, no kidding? I wonder if Walsh was hearing about the talks with the Suns and if that influenced the trade, indirectly.
Brooks/Lowry Martin/Chase Ariza/Jeffries Amare/Hill Hayes/Andersen/Armstrong and next year Yao Sign a backup shooting forward with MLE and some Eddie House type one-two guard for LLE, ladies&gents here is your contender Rockets for 2010-2011 NBA Season.
Don't think we could trade the pick-swapping-option in 2011. Would probably have been something like Hill, Bud, our pick this year, and the knicks 2012 pick for Ama're. What would be ironic would be if this offseason we ended up trading the assets we acquired from the knicks for Bosh, who probably is one of the knicks main targets. Talk about some pissed off New Yorkers.
We could see a sign and trade like that for Bosh. A re-signed Scola, Jordan Hill, and that Knicks pick plus Jeffries expiring contract. That's the beauty of the Knicks trade. Hill and those picks are great trade bait.
scratch 1st half of my post, didn't read terms above(slow typer). Man that would have been awesome though. Stacked freaking lineup.
Hmm. At first glance that seems like it would have been a nice move. Wonder which part really made Morey balk.
Bad trade. Amar'e is not a MAX PF. We would be mortgaging our future for an ego maniac wannabe superstar.
Seeing the drama surrounding the Suns when it comes to trade deadline time, it's pretty obvious Morey did not balk.
This was way better than the Cavs deal. I would've included a t 1st round and 2nd round pick in that with Scola, Battier and Cook... I don't understand what the Suns are doing, Amare is leaving this summer no doubt...
