Rockets engaged with multiple teams and only offering 2nd round picks. Where you at dorks? Bring me that shooter. Let another team waive Kevin.
We don’t even know what we would give up. Everyone wants him off the team but now we’re pissed at the owner? I don’t get it.
If you bothered to look at KPJ's history he should have never been on the Rockets this long. The Rockets Owner and GM looked at his terrible situation and gave him the keys to the franchise, enabled him to make him think he would be the star, gave him the power of a star and then took it all away. All while all some of us KPJ "haters" were saying drop him months ago. He even showed us how he would react if he were not a starter when he seemed very angry when a reporter asked him about coming off the bench. All of his antics would have had him traded from other teams months ago. And now even the people who supported him are saying drop him NOW. AND HE'S STILL ON THE ROSTER. How is the anger hard to get?
I think they just need someone to take some of the guard minutes in the second unit this season while Thompson and Whitmore find their footing. Most likely he would just have a temporary role of a season or two. Basically what Porter was supposed to do for the team.
Thank you!!! Obviously, they don’t believe us, may they will believe Bima! The Rockets need to ADD or keep salary, thus he has to trade KPJ....I still dont know how they think Tilman is being cheap Ridiculous contracts get handed out every Summer to players you wouldn't ever think deserve one. A 23yr old player who avg 19/5/5 wouldve gotten an offer..... even with his history. If Myles Bridges gotna new contract, so couldnKPJ at the time.
“coddle toxic morons throwing emotional temper tantrums” Wait, this part sounds familiar. Haven’t you Stans been doing the exact same to a toxic moron? LOL
I think the point you missed is that it makes no difference which method they pick when it comes to getting rid of their toxic asset... that's why I say those getting the vapors about the Rockets seeig if there is interest in a trade are so ridiculous. If they can't find a deal they like, no problem, if they can, even better..... and yet you have people here throwing full on temper tantrums about it.
It's likely all a part of legal formalities necessary before being cut and writing off the salary loss.
Yep. Rockets Looking for a nba win win trade of contracts in the wake of a sad situation. He’s walking the green mile as an nba player & Everyone knows it. KPJ is a clown that is done in the NBA. I don’t think we see him again on a nba court. Repeat offender who is bad for the business of the nba. Ultimately that’s what gets you gone for good.
If you think about it Tate is the only veteran Glue guy who can play 1-4 positions...... Dillon Brooks at this point is too aggressive to be glue guy, too impulsive, too much of a scorer. Tari is still very young. You have like 1 legitimate Glue person who is not demanding any shots. Glue guys - definition of a guy who holds the team together mostly defensively. A guy who has spent at least 2-4 years with the team. On that alone - Dillon and Tari are just new Rockets - they have not been here for long. (on and off the court)
https://www.sun-sentinel.com/2023/0...l-on-kevin-porter-jr-should-heat-even-engage/ Q: It’s tempting because Houston is offering draft picks attached to Kevin Porter Jr. Miami could use those picks for a Damian Lillard trade, pay Porter Jr his salary, then waive him. A win, win? – Rodney. A: No. It’s not tempting. It’s revolting, disturbing and disgusting if the felony assault and strangulation charges against Kevin Porter Jr. are upheld, or, as NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said Tuesday, “the allegations here are horrific. No question about it.” So, yes, there are salary-cap gymnastics that could be put into play if Porter is banned from the league, with only $16.9 million guaranteed on the remainder of his salary. But until the case is resolved, and until the NBA acts regarding suspension or banishment, you then would have the player’s name associated with your franchise. There has to be more to a franchise’s dignity – or, dare we say it? Culture – than merely being able to acquire draft capital and perhaps a certain amount of salary-cap relief. The Heat have had ample opportunity previously to acquire Kevin Porter Jr. They consistently passed. They should again. Yes, innocent until proven guilty. But it doesn’t mean an outside team needs to take on that burden.
Lmao. At least the Answer part has his heart in the right place. You have to find a trade partner that has equally no culture/questionable culture as the Rockets.
Random thought… The Rockets don’t want him to come back. Porter is a person that works off emotion. We just said PUBLICLY - WE ARE DONE with him and DON’T COME BACK. Maybe this is a message to Porter more than anything else.
Remarkable isnt it? The Rockets made the only move they could in releasing the information that they are going to trade the guy, but its not enough. The 'smart' fans want an outright release that went against the CBA while the league conducts their own investigation. Eat the contract and then eat a fine from Silver? Brilliant stuff. All for what optics? As if that singular move was going to spotlight this team as any more competent! A good portion of the guys here think they could build a better roster when they couldnt even build a backyard shed. The wildest thing of all is that if the rumors are correct there still seems to be a market for KPJ, but I guess I shouldnt be too surprised this league and its fans adore a rapist who got off by paying a 2.5M settlement to keep things hush hush and is now revered as a GOAT. The public opinion will always depend on how much these players can help teams win. You see disgusting examples of this all over the sports world.
