Can we move down and take him along with another asset (maybe a 2nd rounder?)? That would be pretty sweet and a typical morey move.

He took me under his wing"
If you don´t like this kids mentality, you simply don´t love the game of basketball, dude knows that he needs time, he needs vets around him, hard work, and learning the game every day, and he is a kid, there are alot of vets that are or were in the NBA that never understood what they needed to do to be better and help the team win, and this kid already knows that Will he be a superstar??? No one knows, but at the 14th pick, I would choose this guy in an heart beat I was afraid of Toronto picking him, because they need a C (Andrea Bargnani is not a C), but knowing that Turkoglus days at Toronto are over, I bet they are going to pick a SF between Luke Babbitt, Paul George, Gordon Hayward, depending on what teams choose before them In Morey I trust PeAcE
Great vid, thanks for posting it. This is definitely my pick for the Rockets. This guy is going to be a stud in the next 2-4 years.
I agree, he seems extremely coachable, and anxious for guidance (a kid basically). We've got the personnel (serious professional vets like Battier/Yao/Hayes/Scola, coaches like CD and Adelman, maybe Deke and Dream could work with him) to develop his talent. But his demeanor could translate into hesitation and a lack of aggressiveness (see Bynum).
Pretty much the vibe I got from that interview. I think you can tell just as much about a person through a thorough interview as you can about a performance-based highlight compilation video. Just my opinion. What I see is a kid who seemingly lacks confidence, and has a lamb's attitude. Sounded like his voice was crackling from nervousness at times.. made me want go give him a hug rather than fear him. Conclusion: Long-term project that is 50/50 on panning out to be a rotational piece. Seems more like Bynum or A. Randolph in his approach than a young KG or Amare. Again, just my opinion.
Little surprised with the interview. Definitely seems like a good guy (not problematic), knows where he is, knows his limitations and seems coachable. Good for him.
Regardless of how you feel about the Lakers, Bynum has hid kneed drained twice now and is still out there doing work- I'd call that aggressive.
I agree, Bynum's rep as being passive is overstated/undeserved. But alot of that comes from his demeanor, and Whiteside is similar in that way. But who wouldn't be nervous with a camera in their face expected to be articulate on the spot at 19 when no one has paid you any attention before. Doesn't mean you can't be confident and agressive in something you have been doing your whole life.
