Morey wants a defensive big.... Like what Dream did.... Dream came and took him in... Like he was Dreams' kid... If he says he has it, then it's gold... I like to dream big... Just one week?...And he's sold? Welcome to the team then!
What about this dude? I didn't follow college basketball this year...what's the news on him? <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ERcmFdlrrXY&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ERcmFdlrrXY&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Both the clippers and grizzlies are taking a really good look at this guy, and his been doing really well at team workouts against other lottery competition, so there's a chance he might not even be available at our position... But with that said, I'm sure the rockets will probably have him in consideration for the 14th pick if his available... --RB
This guy is underrated, for me he will be the best SF in this draft, Wesley Johnson will probably be the best in his rookie year, but in the long run Paul George will be the better one, can´t say how good he will be comparing to all star material in his position, but if get´s to a team where he can develop his talent he can be a beast Whiteside and Paul George are great value for the 14th pick, this is why this draft is great for every lottery team, you can draft a future all star with the 14# pick easily, you have to get lucky of course, but this is probably the draft where the probability of that happening is bigger You can draft any player from any position, drafting a SF, could make us add ARIZA to the bunch of players that we can trade, drafting an SG, can make us add Martin, as long as the pick is rock solid, we can have more coins to trade, and go after any player that DM thinks is necessary, big FA, a sleeper in any team, or pure talent Whiteside, George or Luke Babbitt, if one of these or maybe all 3 are an option when is time for us to choose, it will be interesting to see which player DM will choose
As long as a player is humble...I wouldn't mind him being confident, and/or have a lil swag about themselves or their abilities. I think I can <<<<< I know I can
Hakeem APPROVED?? get him morey!!! he's obviously just lowering his stock value so rockets could draft him at 14
His more like Bosh in his rookie year, but with a longer reach. Bosh struggles defensively agains centers, but he can be fine against PFs. Bosh has tried to gain weight, but has only been able to put on about 10 lbs.
Yeah I was talking about the general consesus on the board about Whiteside's attitude I actually like George.
just curious, who's the other players that got "Hakeem Approvals"? btw, Hakeem is my no 1 all time favorite, but i didn't really know his evaluation capability..
He's been labelled as a project. I don't think any project bigs drafted in the 1st round have panned out lately.
fair point and I agree...but gm's have a hard time overlooking a guy with a 7'7" wingspan who averaged 13 ppg 9 rpg and 5.5 bpg as a freshman in only 26 mpg. I know it was at marshall but those numbers in only 26 mpg are stupidly good for a freshman. Per 36 his numbers are 18/12.5/7.6 I just can't see a player like him with the physical talent and production like him dropping to us.
Some mock drafts have George slipping to the Celtics at 19. Man can you imaging them winning the title and getting a top ten talent to maybe replace Allen? I would not be happy.
2006-Hilton Armstrong, Saer Sene, Patrick O'Bryant were busts. 2007-Javale McGee has really struggled. 2009-Hasheem Thabeet. Out of 5 raw players, only Thabeet seems to be doing well, but he was drafted way up there at #2 in the draft.
