At this point, its clearly looking like a salary dump (if they take on Jeffries contract along with Brooks). So the answer to your questions, no Flynn will not make us better. And yes, we probably could get more for Brooks, but not good enough to warrant taking on salary maybe? I don't know, but this stinks right now....
It known that Brooks is not taking his role well with the team. If he wasn't causing trouble in the locker room why would Morey move him for so "little" so soon? There's a reason Morey isn't giving him a chance. He knows he won't like the new contract he will get and won't like playing off the bench next year!
I only care about Flynn's future value in a trade. What matters to me is what picks we're getting. If it's one of Utah's first one's from the Al jeff trade, sign me up. Or even Memphis's.
yeah, i guess so. it seems to me backcourt defense is a real need for this team....and I really hope our solution is NOT to bring in 5'1" Jonny Flynn who had the worst defensive plus-minus on the 3rd worst defense in the league last season to replace the other short guy who can't play defense we have already. we've already seen..that doesn't work.
Except Flynn is taller, stronger, can create his own shot, can play some shooting guard and draws more fouls..... Only similarity between Brooks and Flynn is that they are black. Brooks is perfect for the triangle too.
You don't know what you're talking about. Not because Johnny Flynn can't create his own shot, but because you somehow think Aaron Brooks can't.
Stop with the Flynn is taller and can create his own shot non-sense. Brooks is just as good at creating as Flynn and Flynn is maybe half an inch taller. Unfreaking believable.
People really are scared to deal with Morey because they feel like he may know something they don't and get fleeced. (read other forums like Chicago's to see the fear some fans have of him). And also the Rox fan's are pushing him so hard for a trade it's making us look desperate, and teams think they can low-ball us. We may just have to accept we're going to have to rebuild the hard way. By sucking and drafting just like every other team has.
At least we've now defined the two sides: 1) Moreys sucks and couldn't pull off any trades 2) Morey is so good that everyone is scared of trading with us
Well if nothing goes down at least we cant blame Morey for not trying. From all the reports is seems like hes working it tail off
