Re: Thomas, perhaps this is part of a scheme to take some undersized 3s with the idea that our undersized 4s won't stand out so much?
Apparently he does have very long arms, a 7' wingspan and jumps well. But he is 6'5.

Multiple stretch four options, as well as some good guards. Backup center is probably greatest need, but like many GM's have stated, you always best player available over need.

We need to draft someone with the name Jessie (Like Uncle Jessie from Full House) So we can have "Team Rocket" Jessie and James

"Prepare for trouble, and make it double...."

Any Euro guys worth drafting and stashing with the 34th pick?

What about Sergey Karasev with our pick? We need a shooter we lost Francisco Garcia and possibly Delfino, what do you guys think?

Garcia has not been lost. They just aren't picking up his option.

And Karasev might not be able to contribute for a couple of years (just 19 years old).

Green would be a nice pickup.

Green would be a great choice - one of my favorites available in second round.

My fav in this draft is Green. Lanky backup guard who can score and pass.

So he would be a 3rd stringer and replace Brooks? Is that what we're thinking?

I like Adonis Thomas in the second.

Have been seeing Glen Rice Jr. falling to us at our pick.

That would be pretty awesome since we already know his game well.

Yes, I would think so. Lin tends to get banged up, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a 3rd guard (especially if he can play two positions).

Here are the guys I like at each position (minus PF, since the roster is stocked with young, talented PFs):

PG: Lorenzo Brown, Isaiah Canaan, Peyton Siva
    PG/SG: Erick Green, B.J. Young
SG: Tim Hardaway Jr, Archie Goodwin, Ricky Ledo, Alex Abrines
SG/SF: Tony Snell, Reggie Bullock, Glen Rice Jr, James Ennis
    C: Mike Muscala, Lucas Nogueira

I think the pick, if they stay at #34, is somewhere in that group. I think Hardaway, Goodwin, Muscala, Nogueira, and probably Rice are gone by #34. At that point, I like Green, Young and Snell the most.

Llull is that future combo guard. Morey will sign him after we get the 2nd all-star player. If Lin doesn't turn into top 12 or so quality PG, Llull moves into the starting lineup and one of Beverley/Lin are retained as the long term backup.

Didn't Lull sign a contract extension that keeps him overseas until like 2016?

I think Morey lost out on that one.

I don't know the specifics, but I read somewhere that there is also a buyout clause in the extension.

Green would likely be a BPA choice, and he's a first round talent.

Karasev is a really good player for his age. Maybe even the best player in the entire draft at the current time. He would be a great pick at 34, but I doubt there is any chance in hell he does not go in the first round.
