Seems like the Media might as well be invited to every meeting. The Media is not helping either side. . . .. so Whoever think they are playing chess and manipulating public sentiment I'd like to let them know. . . it ain't working This makes everyone's leverage soooo much weaker and Everyone looks like a d*mn fool Rocket River
It doesn’t help that people can make up whatever “insider info” they want to about the Rockets and it’s taken as facts. For example, I heard from my SOURCeZ that tensions are racketing up in the Rockets locker-room because Mclemore stole Wall’s toaster during a House party.
this has been a Knicks-level offseason with all the fckery and tomfoolery this makes the professionalism of the 15-16 season look like the Tim Duncan Spurs
Ehhh I don’t think this is “leaking like a sieve” or that it makes the rockets look bad. Hardens camp is leaking that he wants to be traded, and his approved trade locations. I think the rockets FO is “leaking”, if you want to call it that, that they’re willing to “get uncomfortable” and hold onto James until they get the value they want. If the value is there they’ll trade him, but if not, he’s under contract and they will hold onto him. They won’t accept a mediocre deal just because he’s demanding it and I’m glad they’re letting the fans and the public know that.
Yea that's actually a good move. One of the few(if only) smart things that this organization has done so far. Stone gets no credits for Woods(because that was Morey) and ANYONE could have gotten what he did for Covington. And this whole covid thing looks down right pathetic.
For a guy that wants to be traded he sure has been quite unprofessional about it and he’s done himself NO favors to get out of here the way he’s conducted himself. He showed up to camp late, out of shape and was seen partying before that and then he continues to party a couple days before the season opener breaking protocols and jeopardizing the rest of the team. Now I get there’s a difference between rebelling and just “not getting it” but I’m not so sure with Harden anymore. His actions make it seem more like the latter. His Fanbois will say it’s no big deal and bring up something completely irrelevant like “Bbbut but Michael Jordan partied too!” The same Harden lovers think this is a good thing cause he’s tanking/lowering his own trade value and thus he’s staying here longer which is what they all wish for. The thing is it’s been quite clear he wants out and the longer he’s here the more of a liability he is. Again you guys might think it’s NBD cause Harden can do no wrong in your eyes but if you owned a team would you feel comfortable paying $50M a year to someone like that? Of course... cause it’s not your money and Harden is a savior to you. Now is Tilman a dumbass cause he’s a dumbass or is he a dumbass cause he does things like try and buy someone’s happiness? Either way we dodged a bullet with him declining. If this was a guy that was serious about winning a Championship whether it be here or anywhere else he wouldn’t let himself get out of shape like he does basically every season with the exception of the first year CP3 was here coincidentally the same year he had his best (MVP) season. True professionals/leaders come in to the season sharp and ready to go from day 1 whether they’re happy or not. They don’t use the season to get back into shape. This is what separates someone like a Jimmy Butler from Harden. Butler was never blessed with the same natural talent and gifts like Harden was. He had to work harder than almost everyone else to improve his craft and get to where he is now. Harden can show just show up and drop 30 any given night and it’s a blessing and a curse at the same time.
O Harden is not gifted athlete by NBA standards. Both guys had to work at their craft. Butler acted a complete ass in Minny to get traded. His attitude was horrible. Doesn’t excuse Harden acting a fool but god don’t put Halo on Butler.
Butler let it be known he was unhappy. Then he showed up, in shape, remained professional and tried his best until he was shipped off. Harden shows up late, out of shape and parties like he just won a ring during the middle of a pandemic. When I say gifted I mean gifted with basketball talent and skills not athletic ability. Harden was a 3rd overall pick in a deep draft and came out after his Sophomore year. Butler was picked 30th overall as a senior. Butler averaged 2.6 ppg his rookie year. He was just a guy “trying to make it” in the league.
Actually Butler didn’t remain professional. Basically challenging KAT & Wiggins manhood in a heated practice and yelling trash at management that was present at the practice to get him out or else. It was more than ridiculous.
