This is all because the coaching staff finally woke up and stopped marginalizing Lin When the Rockets had the fourth best offense, I kept saying that I know the Rockets are reluctant to change things on the offensive end, because they do have a good offense. But I said that they would have an even better offense if they stop over-emphasizing Harden at HUGE expenses to Lin's game. The coaching staff has finally woken up after the Knicks game and are finally showing some confidence in Lin and letting Lin play more of the floor general duties. As a result, the Rockets are winning and are now the best offensive team. When Lin does well, the Rockets do well.
James Harden's amazing efficiency is the main reason for the Rockets' high scoring. He can easily get 25+ pts. without taking away many shots from Parsons, Lin, Morris, Patterson, Smith, Asik, etc. Harden is proving himself to be the ultimate team superstar. Early in the season, the Rockets struggled because even though Harden scored a lot, he was taking too many shots doing it. This most notably affected Lin's game because Lin only got to shoot around 5-8 shots a game as a result. Now, it seems that Harden has figured out that he can still score a ton but not take away from anybody else's game while doing so. That's deadly.
Harden's talent is superstar level, what else can you say. I like the fact that the team is showing its potential. Lin's fast break game, speed and court vision is coming on and this is benefiting everyone's offense. And these guys are 24 years of age...... sometimes we forget.
