Not crap enough, we are still not top 5 territory. Just Joking. Things are looking better. We just need to stop continuing to play Scola and Hill at the 5. Thats whats hurting us the most. We also need solid SF production behind Parsons, or should I say ahead of Parsons, he shouldnt even be starting.
I'm bought with Parsons. I would like to see what Morris is made up of, though. If they both turn out well, great.
yay, way to go McHale. I told yall McHale got tanking patented. Look up how many close games the Timberwolves lost under McHale. Now look at the many top picks the Wolves got while McHale was gm or coach KG, #5 pick in 1996- Ray Allen #6 in 1999 2000-then they made the illegal trade with Smith and lost 3 of their next 5 first round picks #14-2005 #6-2006 #7-2007 #3-2008 #5&6&18-2009. #5 was gotten in a trade #4-2010 #2-2011 Now, we are guaranteed a high pick with McHale, lets hope Morey can work this so-called magic i keep hearing about and make a good pick cos we r lottery bound
The best player is chandler parsons in the team...ok kyle lowry then parsons..lol no matter how hard and great they play...they'll end up with mediocre results. Good job but the rockets need a star..badly. And I don't know which direction daryl morey is bringing this team..he seems content with mediocrity these past 4 years.
I thought Kahn was the GM for the past 3 years. While the Rockets are not great, they aren't bad enough for top 5 pick. They have been stuck in mediocrity for years. This year, it only looks great because of the early schedule of playoff teams only. When the lotto teams come to town, the Rockets will beat them to stay firmly in the 14th-16th spot.
Still have one of the ten worst records. Barely. Not winning enough to matter. Not losing enough to matter. Some things never change.
I'm not mad, I'm prepared for this rockets team misses the playoffs this year if it means we get a decent draft pick to add some young talent to this team for the future. I'll still watch the team especially if parsons keeps up his tip jams every game.
So if the Dwight Howard for Jordan Hill, T-Will, and Flynn trade fails, we can always go for plan B and use our #1 overall pick to take Anthony Davis and draft a superstar caliber player in the late first round. Why aren't you our GM?
That's the thing...we are not tanking. We are trying hard to win just as if we were true contenders. Our vets are playing 35+ minutes even with this hectic back-to-back schedule. Our young guys were given minimal minutes in the beginning and now are either glued to the bench (DNP-CD) or beating up on the D-Leaguers. So instead of seeing what we really have by giving some of these guys real consistant minutes and either resting or trading some of the vets (you know who I'm talking about), we are mearly hurting our future to try and squeak a W - which may end up a L like last night.
Yes! Trade away Martin alone would help stay in the caller. But trade Scola and we definitely get the worst record! This is what I have been saying for 2 years!
Khan was gm, but i was listing what happened whenever McHale was coach or gm. If McHale is involved and your team doesnt make it to western conference semis at least, expect a high pick
If we were playing in a Golf like scoring system, We'd be ranked #1 overall in the West. Tiger Tiger Woods yall
People want to rebuild. This is it. The Rockets are the youngest team in the league. Young teams don't win.
McHale hasn't had a role as either coach or GM for a couple of years. They had Kahn and Rambis, as GM and coach respectively, until Adelman took over.
Z-Ro&Trae makes a good point. Are the Rocket's really that young, when we look at the guys getting most of the minutes? 3 out of 5 starters are around 30 yrs old. Scola 31 Dalembert 30 Martin turns 29 in a few weeks Parsons rookie Lowry mid-20s. We seem to be stuck in between playoffs and lottery for mediocrity and stuck in the middle for ages. Their young guys are riding pine or sent to the D-league. Some of the younger teams are ahead of us with their young bucks, Durant and company, CP3 and Blake Griffin, Marc Gasol/Rudy Gay.
Yea but their #2 pick (Durant) is slightly better than our #2 (Thabeet). Thunder/Bulls = Apples. Rockets = Oranges.
