Rockets "Kiss of Death" Game Viewing Party 11/09/11

    For those of you that are dying for some Rockets basketball, Rockets events and fellowship with other Rockets fans, this Wednesday night the Rockets will have an event showing the "Kiss of Death" game at Stadia Sports Grill in Katy. Clutch, RPD, both championship trophies, and a special guest will be there. I imagine that special guest will be someone on the 1995 team. Clyde Drexler was the special guest at the Rockets Halloween party. Rockets legends sure seem to be banking in appearance money during this lockout.

    Sounds like fun, but it will be extremely corny when people bust out cheering like the game was live. You know it's going to happen.

    I apologize if anyone went to the location I posted! I was already running really late to the event tonight, and then showed up at the wrong location but it was the one that the Rockets had put on their facebook page in their initial post. All of their other updates on their page had the corrected address, but I failed to see that. I showed up just in time to see the most important part- "the kiss of death".

    It was fun dressing up in some retro Rockets gear and catching up with some Rowdies. I was actually quite surprised by just how many people who attended the event that were wearing old school Rockets gear. I don't think I've ever seen so many people deck out in Rockets for an event- let alone old school Rockets gear.

    The highlight was that I got my Elie jersey autographed. They don't make Elie jerseys so I bought a used Yao swingman throwback and unstitched the letters and numbers, then cut out and sewed on ones to make it an Elie jersey.
