The tag on all the jerseys are the exact some one. I am holding out that these are not them. I would expect the away jersey to say "Houston" and I think it might. I still find it hard to believe these are real.
I think these are a fraud. the new uni's will have the logo on them. Man I can't wait for the preseason to begin.

i already have a practice shirt which is by far my most favorite rockets gear. the new ones only seem to have the space age rockets logo on top of that so i wont be buying that. the $60 rocket fleece sweater is now useless whith the new logo so i wont be buying that. im not a space age jersey buying kinda guy. so with that said i doubt i will be buying any new merchandice. if they made a black beanie w/. the red logo i would buy that but thats it. uhhhhemmm tim...
The Cavs and Nuggets have their city name on their uniforms. That tells me that Houston not being on the jerseys had nothing to do with the NBA but was a decision made by Les and his boys.
It sure looks that way. A nice slap in the face to the Houstonians who voted to build this arena. I like the white jerseys a lot, really nice. The road jerseys with that gray look kinda ugly though.

I'm pretty sure the decision to not put 'Houston' on the uniforms is part of the plan to market the franchise as 'China's team' and to target international fans drawn in by Yao Ming. As a Houstonian, I'm offended as hell. We are the ones paying for Les' shiny new toy. I wish there was a way our displeasure could be voiced to Les and friends because I'm pissed if there really won't be any 'Houston.' I know it seems like I'm just nitpicking here and whining over a trivial issue, but I feel like this is a huge slap in the face. BTW, the uni's look great. Good job by the design crew.
Only because I'm bored, here's my home version: To me, the red looks metallic/reflective. That's awesome, and wonderful for those nocturnal bike riders.
The New uniforms look awesome. I'm actually starting to like the new look now that it is all coming together. I even like the space age fonts on the jerseys.
Were not the only team with the team name on both road and away jerseys look at: Lakers Jazz Warriors Heat (road black jerseys) T'wolves Spurs Wizards Sixers Bulls (road red jerseys) and if any other teams i forgot So I don't really care if Houston is on the jersey as long it is good for playing
the home white ones are sweet! i like the road ones as well but i think i prefer the white lines instead of silver. oh well still very happy with the final design.
whoa, dont go jumping to assumptions... they dont even sell individual player jerseys in china, in fact its not even a fashion to wear jerseys there as it is here. in addition, the old jerseys didnt even say houston on them. before i go overseas to blame for lacking the city name, i would first look at the fact that the rox have been one of the highest in road game attendance for all the teams. Consider that Americans have all the money and are willing to buy rox merchandise whereas they dont even sell rox overseas. the rox are America's team more than houston's team, let alone 'China's team'. although i would be bitter too if it was my home team, i would think logically that les is taking houston out of the name to cater to the rest of Americans who love the rox, just like all of the out of towners that make this one of the biggest team web sites on the net.
Maybe when they decide to make a Sunday jersey, they can have Houston on it. I'am hoping for a black color jersey.

I keep seeing this... But just to clear some things up. The reason that it doesn't say "Houston" on the front, is because owners of today use jerseys as a form of product advertisements. Not as a representation of a city. This also gives the owner the ability to move the team to another city without redesigning the front (cost). The owner doesn't want to be "chained" to the city in anyways. This was not the case 20 years ago. I think that Les is a great owner. So, I understand the "business" reasons. Would I like "Houston" on the front? Yes. Will it happen. Most likely not. Maybe if fans complain enough, this will change (call-in radio talk shows in Houston). By the way. I love the new jerseys.
I agree. I really hope our alternate jerseys we eventually get will have the colors of black & red. Those would look sharp.
