wow,, now that i see the new uniforms, boy i am wishing we hadnt changed!! i liked last years uniforms i never understood why no one liked them??? these new ones are sooo plain i guess just my opinion
i definitely like them. the road ones look pretty cool and i like the home ones even more, maybe b/c the white just seems so bright. ahhh, jerseys you can actually wear in public. i feel so sorry for the players the last 8 years.
By the way, this was referring to the look of the unis, not to the way they were "revealed" to us - first through some Taiwanese site and then through this link on that company's site, when supposedly "Reebok did not send the Rockets a final one". That could have been done better .
You hire a good designer and you get a good design. Props to Tim and the Rockets for spending the cash on someone who knows what they are doing, and then let them do their job. Just one question for Tim.... It doesn't look like the shoulders are really that wide. It looks like the waste and chest are tighter than normal with extra stuff around the arms for movement. Is this right? How does it looks compared to standard jerseys on the players?
Very clean indeed. The one thing that I think really stands out is the fact that there is no "blood" errr, rocket exhaust fumes underneath the R in Rockets. That's one of the biggest complaints people had about the logo, right?
I'm sure they'll be on the shorts, just not in the word "Rockets". Although I don't think it would be so bad if it did. I do like the lettering on the front a lot. As for the lettering on the back, I think most unis in the league use a somewhat standard lettering like these. The difference is that our front lettering would look fine on the back where as the warriors lettering would look illegible from far away if it were used for the name on the back.
Overall they look pretty good. When the logo came out I did mention that it at least says houston unlike the old one.. so I'm a little disapointed these jerseys dont say houston on the road ones.. but overall they look pretty good
I'd prefer the letters be a more classic style instead of that space age font - and I'd like the silver to be more silver - i think it looks gray but all in all - I LOVE THEM!!! I don't have any problem with the new jerseys (huge improvement), but now that I see them, I do agree the '3' numeral has a Japanese look (I know the deigner is Japanese). And I also agree that the gray (I don't see silver) looks two shades off with the red. But maybe that's why the combination was chosen - it doesn't really register with anything in my memory bank. No complaints really, just glad the pajamas are gone.
